My brother lost his job
...and he's got 4 boys, 15 and down...
Hewlett Packard did say he's welcome to look for other positions in the company, though.
My whole family gotta have a load of b.s. right now?
Grrr.

Sorry to hear that your brother lost his job, I hope that he is successful in finding another postion within the company if that is what he wants, if not I hope that he can find something outside the company fairly quickly. My thoughts are with them.

I'm sorry about your brother. Is he in Boise? I saw there were lay offs, but they didn't say how many. It seems the Micron and HP people get obsorbed here pretty quickly though....so hopefully he will find something soon.

Eeek... I hate to see that sort of thing happen to people. We had it happen about 6 weeks ago at my place. 400+ people we let go in a mass-wipeout. I've never been a fan of HP servers (I call for support on their Proliant servers all the time), but I'm even less of a fan of people losing their jobs like that.

And my grandma's got a bump/knot on her shoulder. Doc said it's a melanoma something (I'd know the word better, but this was relayed to me through mom, so...).
Grandma's still achy today.

I'm sorry for your brother! People are losing jobs left and right in this crappy economy. Hopefully he finds something just as good (or better) very very soon!
