Default I Hope Oct is better

Boy am I glad Sept is over.

It was a rough month for us emotionally and financially.

Hubby's eye surgeries, the discovery of his high blood pressure (several doctor vists plus medication), plus never sick Hubby, got sick with

Daughters dentist check up up and her first cavity, daughter who never misses school was sick and missed school. Also figured out her dehydration issue and the doc wrote her a note for juice. Then we had to have them fill out all the required papers for her to drink juice instead of milk.

Son needed his first pair of glasses (plus we had to pay for all of our check ups) Plus all the fall out from the notes from teachers ( not paying attention, grades falling, eyc) Hopefully fixed now that he has the glasses.

Me, well I guess the only time I was at the doc ( regular, hosptial detist, eye doc, eye surgeon) was when I was driving everyone to one. My check up is this month.

Then our computer crashed and we decided that we needed a another one since we have become so internet dependent (the children's teachers e-mail and the children need the computer often for homework assignments) Plus I like to check in here ( I was able go to/borrow a computer to check in here and e-mails but felt funny posting on their computer, So I was gone for a while. Did you notice?)

Not all could be paid with cash some had to go on credit.

Life hit us hard and fast.We feel like we have been chopped up, shaken up and poured out and need to resemble ourselves but almost nothing is the same. The beginning of September seems like months ago.

But now it is October we will be able to gather ourselves back up, emotionally and financially.

If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Well it's too late now, but in the future don't forget that computers and things like that are not emergencies. Shake it off but give yourself a stern talking-to about not touching the EF for wants ever again.

I struggled so hard to make my post as nice as it was... Thanks!

It had been repaired many times. Hubby is pretty good at fixing it. It was approximately a decade old and made a very big racket when on. We didn't quite realize it until the sound (we were use to it) was gone. We had started to save for it as we knew it wasn't going to last much longer. It just didn't last as long as we thought.

I know computers are not a true need but it our life they sure seem like it as it is a main connection with the school and used on a daily bases normally for required school work Hubby did a good job about buying what we "needed" not what he wanted. I'm proud of him on that one.

It will probably be paid off before the no interest time is up.

September just seemed to pile up on us (mainly doctor/health stuff)

OK - I'm not gonna beat you up over it. But if you ever say you had to do it on credit again, I'm taking that promise back...

    Fair deal

In fact, I had to go back to look at my post to see if I had used the word had and I had. ( I just had to see how many "had"s I could use in one sentence LOL)

I should fix the original sentence from "Not all could be paid with cash some had to go on credit."

to "Not all could be paid with cash, so we put some of it on credit"

    Thanks for pointing that out.

It is amazing how editing out the "had" from my thinking makes me feel more in control. Does that make any sense?

    Absolutely!

It takes you out of the role of victim and puts you in control of your own life!

"Momma said there'd be days like this" and boy, are there ever!!! Many times it will feel like you take two steps forward and one step back....Keep plugging along and remember think twice even three or four times before you pull out the credit card or you will never get to your goal!!! Not being condescending just speaking from experience!!!!
