    Default Worried...

Well yesterday my DH calls home to tell me he got fired He just started making 16.00 a hour not a few weeks ago. Of course I do not have any money saved. We were just getting back on our feet to be able to save some money and now this . This seems to happened to him at this time every year. It makes me so mad because when I try to get him to save he will go spend the money
Now we need some savings and do we have it no..

That totally stinks! Does he work in an industry with seasonal lay-offs? This is the first year that DH hasn't worked in construction. Every year we have had to worry about winter lay-offs, so I understand your pain.

Hopefully, you guys can get by on unemployment. Time to put all those super frugal money saving ideas into place! Good luck, and keep us posted as to how you guys are doing!

What line of work does he do that the job dries up this time of year consistantly?
Is is a lay off or an out right firing?

May now when he gets a new job he will listen to you and save, even if it is just a little.

File for unemployment immediately and since you don't have any savings, file for food stamps too.

Good luck! Been there, done that and doing it again!
