    Default stinkoid murphy vent

Ya know, I should've known it was going to happen, and indeed I was worried about it -- the universe must even itself out, Janie can't be too happy, lol.

We went on the absolute BEST vacation I have ever been on a few weeks ago. Of course, I overspent. But damn did we have fun!!! So I really honestly don't feel bad about that part.

But in waltzes November and she brought with her some nastiness. First a 575$ vet bill (and another one coming, George needs some teeth removed.) Then DH's laptop screen went caput. 345$ for the screen, our tech friend did the labor for free. It took him hours, the poor guy, only to find out the fried wire that killed the screen may also have fried something on the logic board and now we have to take it to Mac for a diagnostic. DH's estimate of of new mother board is above 700$ (I'm SO hoping he's wrong.) The EF is wiped out from the vet and the screen, so on the stinking credit card it goes.

And of course, this comes in time to put him over the due date on a freelance project, and it's going to be a PITA for him to do our regular client work this weekend.

On top of it, I'm SO worried about the financial stability of our biggest client. The economy is killing them, and two weeks ago when she gave us our check she mentioned being worried about being able to pay everyone. Yes DH would still have his regular job, but if this client tanks that's a full 1/3 of our income. I'm hoping they'll stick it out, they've been around for something like 25 years. We'd have to move if they died though. *worryworryworry*

    BLAH!!

    Jane it gets worse.

    Sorry.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I am sorry you are going through this. It shows the value, however, of the planning you did. At least you had an Emergency Fund to use when there was, indeed, an emergency (or two). Thank you for sharing with us. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
