I feel most daycare providers are underpaid and underapprecited.
first thought is WOW then its well money is different there

my point is..how is someone supposed to pay someone or business X amount when most individuals barely make enough to pay their bills.

i agree that childcare providers can some times be underappreciated ..but it goes both ways a person has work to make a living and when you have kids have you have to work with what you got. and some people who cant afford to send their kids to the greatest and the best feel like crap im sure, because they cant give their kids the best due to prices and paychecks.

ill give my example...whether i want the best or not i cant afford it and i have to shop around for someone when i get a job. been through this before..if i get a job making 11.00 an hour and i have 2 kids at a day care thats $325.00 minium at a baby sitter is $150-180 minium..the paycheck is only $344.00...where is there room for rent, groceries, gas, med ins, etc....i have no clue how single parents do it, BUT THEY HAVE MY RESPECT and appreciation. im lucky that i have a husband that works his self constantly to take care of us...but even with us both working and him making a good income..its not always worth it for me to work because of the childcare prices..i have to get a minimum of 12.00 to be able to bring something to the table

and a lot of employers arent offering up the money

and i do feel like the babysitters i pick although nice arent beneficial to my children..most babysitters dont do squat..its nap, snack, lunch, play time, and some tv..no one sits down and works with them on school stuff...and the ones that do..want to much money

alot of the babysitters dont pay taxes (i know there are some good ones out there but the marjority dont) so i can never claim them and if they are getting 100+ a week per kid and they have 5 kids they are doing better then me..

i would assume alot...alot of babysitters dont pay taxes..i have used 4 in the past out of 4, 1 pays taxes..and if a daycare provider gets 100+ a week per kid..no taxes..shoot they are doing more than i would working for 12/hr

if i had a tolerance for children running around id be doing it...and the ones that charge 150 a week per kid id keep as many as legally possible...making 700-1000.00 a week

How do you know if the provider paid taxes?

And how did a discussion on post dated checks turn into a class envy discussion?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Just a shorty here. Because they tell you they don't so that you don't claim it as a deduction and get them busted for not. Otherwise they would have to charge more.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

    Interesting...

I don't think I'd want to do business with someone who was avoiding taxes illegally, especially if it cost me such a potentially substantial tax deduction.

Default I apologize if I offended anyone...

with this post in regard to in-home care vs. a daycare center.

Growing up, my mom watched several kids and I know what goes into that. I would never intentionally disrespect that type of business.

Again, sorry for my poor wording and any offense anyone took.
