Let it be by the Beatles my inspirational song of all time. for financial concerns my dear Daddy singing The grass is always greener this song was popular during the depression funny I havent thought of this song in a long time thanks for the memory lyrics are The grass is always greener in the other fellas yard that little row you have to hoe O boy thats hard
You always see the fine clothes
that they wear on their backs But you never see the mortgage thats hanging round thier shacks You liked our little roadster till they got their sedan and now our little roadster is just an old tomato can But if we all could wear green glasses now it wouldnt be so hard to see how green the grass grows in your own back yard. i can hear my daddy singing to me right now I miss his wisdom most of all

"I'm Movin' On" by Rascal Flatts came out just as my husband of almost 10 years decided to leave our family for someone he met at his workplace. The lyrics spoke to me and urged me to make the best of a really bad situation and "move on"!

When I'm in a bad mood, I don't want to feel better. I want to let the anger simmer and burn itself out. Then I'll feel better.

My wife calls this "Kyle's anger song" and knows that when she hears it, I must be having a bad day. (Warning: Contains very strong language)

I don't know who sings it but I love the song that goes "Momma said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my momma said"

I sing that a lot to the colic moo monster I call my daughter.

Lord, I hope this day is good,
    I'm feeling empty and misunderstood.
I should be thankful Lord I know I should,
But, Lord, I hope this day is good.

Lord have you forgotten me I've been prayin' to you faithfully
I'm not saying am a righteous man
But Lord I know you'll understand.

    I don't need fortune and I don't need fame,
Send down the thunder, Lord, send down the rain.
But when you're planning just how it will be,
Plan a good day for me.

Lord, I hope this day is good,
    I'm feeling empty and misunderstood.
I should be thankful Lord I know I should,
But, Lord, I hope this day is good.

You've been the King since the dawn of time,
All that I'm asking is a little less cryin'.
It might be hard for the devil to do,
But it would be easy for you...

Lord, I hope this day is good,
    I'm feeling empty and misunderstood.
I should be thankful Lord I know I should,
But, Lord, I hope this day is good.

My brother was a huge Mary Chapin Carpenter fan. When he died in a trucking accident (he was a long haul trucker) I listened to her entire album Between Here and Gone again and again and again. We even played some of the songs at his burial service.

It's been five years but I still can't listen to the actual title song Between Here and Gone without getting tears in my eyes. It is so poignant.
