Niko, I have no advice as I've never walked in your shoes. Just want you to know that I care.
Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!

Dates that close to a deadline would make me nervous as well. (espeecially when talking about $125,000.00) As for the phone call victory .... enjoy it. Start all calls with "this call is being recorded". Then on the second call you can say something to the effect of ...."Hmmm, I do believe when I spoke to you earlier and while recording informed you ...blah,blah.... I guess I can let my lawyer know to start proceedings against YOUR company. Please continue to speak and call back so that I have additional ammunition to file suit with"
In all seriousness though, I hope things go well with your husband and that this finishes up as quick as it can.

Is there any way to turn off the ringer of the phone and turn down the answering machine? That way you can receive the calls when your stress level is down? Do you have to pick up and talk to them? I think I would be a raging bitc$!
Hang in there. Go for a walk in the sunshine and sip some tea (or a beer!!) lol

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I was so glad to see your post Niko.. I was afraid they'd taken away your keyboard too! I'm sorry that it's come to this, but since it has, I'm so glad you're facing it head on and chin up. You're an inspiration to us all for looking it all square in the face and knowing when enough is enough.
You can do this, and we'll be here to help any way we can. Love you!

Well the phone has been quiet. Only phone call today was Bank of Hell. Gave them the number and said I wasn't to discuss it.
The problem with the phone was...since I'm unemployed I'm over at the business helping him since he can't afford to really hire anyone. He ( and it will NEVER happen again ) gave every creditor the business number. Even personal, including his cell phone. So the ringer can't be turned off. Only thing you can do is let it ring.
Guess what I got in the mail today...Yep, one of the cards that I have sent me a new one with new expiration date. Does that mean that one hand dosen't know what the other is doing? Nah, they couldn't find their hands. They're buried in all of our pockets.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

You want unbelievable? Go to the credit board forums sometime and see the stories about what people get away with with the creditors.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

So, Niko, how are you doing? It's close to the deadline. I don't think it would hurt if you would give them a call to see how far they've come.
Hang in there!
