I broke my neck just over 2 years ago. I had surgery to recieve my new neck (5 plates and a stabilizer bar). Alot of medical bills then and now. I have alot of bills from the hospital I was in. Do I add them all together or seperate them by invoice number and continue paying them, each one the minimum?
I haven't started yet. I am at this moment, adding all debt on my spreadsheet. I just know that their are probably 5 or 6 different bills from the hospital.
Does the hospital separate them? Maybe you could get them to put them all on one bill and make an arrangement to pay so much per month towards the total.
I would think that if each has a separate invoice, wouldn't it also be a separate account? If that is the case then you might want to ask the hospital if it is okay to consolidate them into one account. Some of the hospital bills break down into what category/department the treatment was received through so they might not allow consolidation.
If some are smaller amounts then working them into the snowball plan as individuals my be more rewarding for you and add to your snowball better as you will free up money from paying off the smaller ones.
