I hope you don't mind a note of appreciation here for using coupons. Many of the people who come into my work biulding won't use coupons, but are often the first to complain about not having enough.

I am glad that you were able to get the help that you needed.
I currently get foodstamps and my children qualify for free lunch and also to ride the school bus for free.

Not sure how old your children are but if they are under 5 you can also apply for WIC

My friend has a 3 year old and applied for foodstamps as she lost her job and was on UE and she got $13 a month. I couldn't believe it. And she had to reapply every 3 months. I was shocked. I have to reapply every 6 months but I get to do it via the mail. They send me a form to fill out and I need to send back my income verification.
