OMG! DH's job is done!
He works for a commercial electric company, that works on commercial building. The workers were told today, that there is no work for them after this week. They are not being laid off, just told not to come in!!!! That means NO income!!! I'm so upset. He has already applied for several jobs over the past few weeks, and has some leads, but down here it seems like everything is in slow motion! We have no emergency fund (kicking myself right now). I need some big time encouragement!!!!

I am so sorry. I will keep you and your DH in my thoughts. He should be able to collect unemployment, but I don't know how long that takes to kick in.
I hope that your DH will be able to find a new job soon. Hang in there and let us know if there is anything we can do to help!! Anything!

Julie, I'm so sorry! I know you and hubby are freaking out right now. We are in the same boat here with dh losing his job and not being able to find similar in the Electrical field. He found some part time work but it's not looking good as a job with a future.
Go online to employment insurance in your state. Read the FAQ's and then apply. It can't hurt. All they can do is turn him down and atleast you would know. If he is off this week, make sure you do it by Saturday so you have the 1st waiting week in. You can also do it by phone.
Many prayers and 'courage' being sent your way.
