Default Medicaide

Hello,
I just got cards in the mail for my children to be covered under Medicaide - They want me to pick a plan:
1) Health Maintenenance Organizations (HMDs)
2) MediPass
3)Provider Service Network (PSNs)
4)Children's Medical Services Network (CMS Network)
Do any of you have an preference on which one to pick or stay away from? I live in Florida if that makes a difference.
Thank you for your time,
Donna
Florida

I am not familiar with those plans, if you already have a Dr for your kids that you like I would start by checking to see if that Dr is under the plans listed above. If that Dr. isn't and you have to chose a new Dr. I would be checking out what Dr. are under those plans. For me I would also be wanting a plan that if I feel seeing a specialist is needed I can't go see one without needing a referal from a primary care physician. If they didn't give you paperwork explaining each plan I would be calling someone looking for an explanation.

Wish I could be of help. I had Medicaid for myself and my children in NH but it was not divided into different plans. We were able to see anyone and go anywhere we wanted and they paid 100%.
I would do as justpeachy said and look into which dr and which hospital you want to use and see which plan they are covered by. I don't know why they have to make it so confusing!
