Well I am in Iowa .. S.E. Iowa to be exact... and I work at a gas station... last night I worked from 3pm to 11pm ... and even with our gas going from 3.39 a gallon to 3.45 a gallon yesterday everybody and their dog was filling up I mean i was on my feet the whole 8 hour shift and there was only a 30 minute period where there was no one in the store .. and even then people were filling up with gas and using credit cards at the pump.. it was crazy then my boss called me and said gas was going up .22 cents tomorrow .. i was what???!!! And I guess thats why everyone was filling up they heard it on the news and wanted to get cheaper gas. Well then I find out at the end of my shift its in New Jersey that its going up .. boy are there going to be cranky people today when i work.. since I dont' think it went up here yet.. I stress yet cause we have gone from 3.25 to 3.45 in two days!!!! Its insane .. and I don't know where its going to end.. ughhh pretty soon I wont' even be able to afford the gas to drive to work

Ours is at 3.49/gal. for regular. I hope is stops climbing soon. My dh has to drive to work every day and its 52 miles round trip. Its starting to pinch my budget big time.

I heard on Fox News that NJ gas went up .22 because they are only allowed to raise prices once a week. So they are playing catch up for the past 6 days of increases the rest of us have been experiencing.

I too heard this on the news this morning. Ours goes up daily it seems - but their law only lets them change prices in NJ on Fridays. Everyone there better get their gas each week on Thursday, cause who knows what it will be on Friday!

Every dang day the price is going up almost. This is crazy.

I'm posting gas prices again on http://www.montgomerygasprices.com/ which is a local version of http://www.gasbuddy.com/

I'm not supposed to run 87 in my car. Min of 91 so here that makes me get premium. It sucks!

    Smile Nebraska gas...uggg

Gas here in North Platte is I think $3.84? We have the highest gas prices in the state. When we got our rebate check we were going to pay down some medical bills with it, but now we're looking into buying a moped for dh to go to work on. Those puppies get 80-105 MPG

My son is going to sell his car. He has to run premium in it and doesn't get the best gas mileage. Last time he filled up it was $50.

    It just doesn't seem fair.

Actually, that thing about only changing prices on Fridays applies to the main highways like the Garden State Parkway, The NJ Turnpike, and the Atlantic City Expressway. Local gas stations have the ability to change it once every 24 hours. They all jacked up their prices this week. The prices are just insane anymore and now our wonderful (sarcastic) governor wants to raise the gas tax too since his 800% tax hike isn't going over like he thought it would. To those of you thinking about moving here, DON'T! I am so sick of the taxes in this state and they just keep going up. We are trying to come up with a plan so that we are able to move in about 3 years to DE or PA because the cost of living in NJ is just crazy.

I hear you loud and clear! We have foreclosures on both side of us and apparently there are more down the block. It is sad to see all those empty houses and know that there are families that just couldn't make it for one reason or another. We live in a modest neighborhood with houses that are about 30 years old so it is not like we are talking people overbuying in McMansions. It is just normal people that are falling on hard times. It is really unfortunate and because of it I don't think I could sell my house now if my life depended on it. We are hoping for a turnaround in the next couple of years but who knows.
