Thinking the stimulus DD would be in my account today since i'm in the first batch I spent my whole paycheck on my kids birthdays over the weekend plus bought needed things. I have a couple bills thats due asap and thought it would be covered with the stimulus. I live paycheck to paycheck with no ef.

Well there was no DD of the stimulus in my account today. I really hope it goes in on May 2 like normally planned.

Chalk it up to a lessen learned. Don't spend it until you have it! I have learned this lessen myself over the years too! Wishing you luck that the check will come soon!!!

I should have treated this like child support, don't count or depend on it unless it's in the bank

Ugh, that's rough. Can you call the billers and tell them you are waiting for the check and as soon as you get it you can make a phone or online payment?

We all have done foolish things at one time or another. That being said, this is a good lesson for not spending money you do not have. My daughter was looking at appliance ads yesterday, betting on the stimulus deposit & I told her not to count her hens before they were in the hen house ! She relates well when I use animal analogies.

I have to Friday for the 2 bills that need to be paid or the gas or internet gets shutoff.

It's possible for me to work superhard this week and then wait for my next paycheck to pay but i'll be without for a week. Ugh I need the internet to work and we haven't used heat in over a week now so it may be okay.

I did hear about others with the last 2 #'s as mine have not recieved the stimulus either. I'm just waiting.

Boy, i'm going to work on a EF asap.

I am in the First batch myself...but I understood that they would only be sending out 800,000 per day M-W of this week..none on Thurs..and the remainder on Friday. Also, Iswear it said that payments were not only going out by SS#..but by the order in which they were accepted by the IRS.

I had mine pending BEFORE the IRS even started to accept returns..I am in the 1st Batch like I said before (last 2 digits are 08) my last name begins with a B (if that matters) and I didn't get mine deposited this A.M. either..but will let you know if it comes in sometime today...Good Luck to you and **HUGS**

this is a thought
if it was direct deposits it probably wont show until midnight..call the bank and ask if they have any deposits pending for you..i know wachovia can see for us..


we filed our taxes before the rebate was mentioned i wish it went by who filed first not ss my husbands was first and his is 77 and we got a RAL so no direct deposit for us we are looking at july =(

I think nearly all of us at some point and time in our lives have made a similar mistake Otherwise we wouldn't be here learning and sharing with each other. Yep - it's a tough lesson, but you will come through just fine!

I have done that too. Now, I won't pay a bill until the money is in the account.
