Default I'm going to kill me kids if school doesn't start soon kith

I love my children, truly I do, but if school doesn't start back soon I'm going to go insane. I have absolutely no time to myself when they are home. They feel like they have to constantly be up my butt.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who belongs to this kith.

My kids are young, and only one of them in school but the first two weeks he was out was horrible! It's slowly getting better but there is still a fair amount of nonsense going on.

The only thing that is saving my sanity right now is every day around 1:00, I make them go in their own rooms for quiet time. They can play with whatever they want, so long as they are quiet. It's the only way I get a half hour to an hour of quiet and alone time during the day!

You are not alone. I have 2 of them telling me they are bored. When I suggest something that needs to be cleaned they suddenly are not bored and find something else to do.
I am trying to teach me son some cooking skills. He is special needs child and needs to learn to cook for himself. He says he is moving out next year after he graduates. So he needs these skills.
Last week he made HM oreo's and HM pasta.
Today we made HM graham crackers and Italian Bread. He is doing great but does not like the clean up part.

I also miss my me time. But before I know it I will have all the me time I want as they will be gone.

I hereby do nominate myself as the president and CEO of this kith!!!
My boys are bored, I am bored, my daughter is totally out of sorts with the whole thing. They wake up wanting to play Wii........ALL DAY!! Of course I don;t let them, so I pay the "price". "I'm bored", there's nothing to do", "Why can't I play Wii?" I give them all sorts of ideas like: go outside - DUH!, ride your bike to the park (which is fine to do in our little town), call a friend, ride your bike, go look for frogs *ewwwww*, do a puzzle, clean your room, read, vacumn, weed the garden......but no, they are just bored....driving my batty! It makes me get stir crazy too, cause I'll I'm ever doing is breaking up fights, cleaning up after them, and trying to keep them from driving me to insanity so that they can play the Wii!

I admit, it's not like there's tons to do here inour tiny town, but *sheeesh*. Forturnatley we had vacation a few weeks ago and tomorrow we leave for a few weeks to see my parents.....and then school starts Aug 12th!!!

The title was supposed to be I'm going to kill my kids not me kids. My 2 year old was hanging off of me when I typed that and my 7 year old was sitting staring at me Now it won't let me modify it.

I thought you just wanted to sound like the guy from "Lucky Charms". LOL. Wouldn't it freak you out if he came on t.v. and said something about "killing me kids"?

As you can see from the sheer lunacy of this post, I'm almost there. I ALMOST belong to this kith. My kiddos have been out for two weeks. Give me another week and I'll be on board, full-time. Maybe I can be vice president. I don't know, though, Int'lMom doesn't get any of my sympathy--her kids go back soooo early. Mine don't go back until the 26th or 27th of August. Ohhhh, but then again, her's were out early.

Cricket ~ I laughed out loud when I read that and my ds-13 said, what's so funny???

This couldn't have come along at a more appropriate time! My kids and their friends (dd-9 and ds-5) are driving me nuts! Inside, outside, running around, yelling, leaving toys and stuff everywhere . . UGH!! I'm happy my kids made some new friends from down the street, but they ring the doorbell way too early in the morning (we're all still in our p.j's! ), stay all day, and no one checks on them! I'm gonna go down and meet their mom and find out what's up!!!

I've had visions of the kids all back in school today, gee I wonder why?!

Okay here are some of my tips... I have 12 right now.. and only 2 are mine. 5 of them are relations and the other I just watch.
    > bored... is a bad word...
    > books and word finds are solutions to someone who has nothing to do.
    > playstations, game boys are done on a 30 minutes... in exchange for 30 minutes reading.
    > I have various color books, word books, and lots of puzzles.
    > puzzles earn you a sucker when done. (we time these and give an extra treat to the winner)
    > I have 2 planned crafts a week
    > thursday afternoon is game board day.
    > and friday afternoon is always movie day. A slushie is the reward for a nice clean up done for the weekend.
    > Anything that they do must be atleast 20 minutes long before they leave that activity. Plus it has to be cleaned up.
    > down time is after lunch.. it is from 12:30-2. NO Talking... movies or reading.. or a nap.
SO even though I implement all this.. I am still losing my mind..lol.. we got 5 weeks left....

We are really trying to save money for our trip so we have been staying home a lot and they are driving me batty! Fortunately we are going to be taking our week long camping trip on the 11th so we'll all be entertained for at least a week..LOL..

I took mine to walmart today. BIG MISTAKE! They drove me nuts and embarrassed me. I am sure by the time we left everyone in the store knew there names.
