Default Can't get enough MUSIC kith!

I'm just sitting here, winding down my day, listening to music on my itunes, and thinking who else on the FV just can't get enough music?! It doesn't matter what genre, just that you love it!

Well, I have to say I'm not quite as open minded as that: there are some varieties I just can't stand. But I LOVE music and have to have it on during the day. I also have to sing. We're thinking of changing churches and a major factor in that choice is whether I can find another choir.

I listen to a lot of classical, rock that I don't quite know how to categorize (but I know what it's not), folk, and old jazz. I don't like electric jazz, rap, country or overly raucous rock. My favorite thing lately is Pandora.com. You can put in various "seeds", songs or artists that you enjoy. Then it will find similar music for you.

Don't get me wrong, there are some genres I cannot stand either! I just wanted to come together to share the LOVE of music, even if we don't love ALL of it!

My favorite genres are Scores (movie scores, classical, and instrumental), Musicals (like broadway, disney, etc), and celtic. Those are my top, but I pretty much have stuff from all genres I like, except maybe some of the twangier country, hiphop and rap. (Although I don't consider rap music, it is more spoken word).

Now I just need to get DH out of the house so I can blast the music I like, but he hasn't

Yes, scores can be fun too. We've got a CD called "Shadows of the Empire" that's all inspired by Star Wars. My kids love it. So yesterday I played them Carmina Burana. They like that, too!

Serious music lover here....I like either 80 pop or worship music (I know, funny combination - I'm a crazy, Jesus-loving child of the 80s!!)

Oh, one more thing.... I LIKE IT LOUD - I MEAN REALLY REALLY LOUD - LIKE SO LOUD THAT IF I AM SINGING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS, I CANNOT HEAR MYSELF!! I often feel like a kid trapped in a 38 year old body!!

I'm a total music lover as well. I like a little bit of everything genre-wise. I love metal and rock, but I also listen to alternative, classical, pop, r&b, blues, jazz, worship, folk, bluegrass, musical showtunes, movie scores, instrumental, 80's, disco, spanish music, old cajun jams, zydeco, even a little country at times, I said I like a little bit of everything. And like Intlmom I like my music loud! Although when I'm listening to the soundtrack of Grease or The Sound of Music my DH prefers it not so loud lol...or maybe that's my singing.
