How about Pen and Paper Role Playing Gamers?
Anyone else enjoy nothing else as much as sitting down around a table with 4 or 5 fellow gamers, entering into a different world and slaying a few dragons?
(And are any of you in or around Baltimore and looking for a 4E game to join?
)
I started playing D&D (BASIC D&D, the precursor to AD&D, as in the 1979 version with paperback books), in the very early 80's. I actively gamed thru college, and then got out of it after moving to Baltimore.
I recently got back into it with 4E and have been gaming online, and Ceashels is starting to learn and we're actively looking for a local group.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
Greebo(Nerd Spender): Loving and extremely patiently tolerated husband of ceashels.

I'm a groupless gamers at the moment. ill do D&D, but prefer non-level systems like White Wolf or GURPS. If anyone here is in Central NY and wants to get a group going let me know.
For that matter, would anyone here be interested in a GURPS Lite PbP (play by post)? How much more frugal can a gamer be than playing from a free rules set?

Used to play years ago. Love it. It had such a bad rap for so long (foolishness).

Play by post means that a forum is used instead of in person or by chat. Since at most there's one or two posts per person per day, generally combat is kept to a minimum, as it tends to be the most dice intensive part of the game.

I quit WoW and went back to Warhammer Online with DH. We prefer the open RvR system a whole lot better there than it was on WoW, so that's our preferred game atm.
