I have 2.
The first one is a tiny (the size of my thumb nail) quarter moon. I was sitting at a red light one day and looked over and saw the tattoo parlor. I was having a very bad day and decided I was going to get a tattoo that day. I don't know what made me thinking to get a moon by it popped into my head and I went with it. Now here is the ironic part. I hadn't spoken to my mother in almost 2 years at that point. Another 2 years after getting my tattoo, I finally began speaking with her again. One day I was wearing a shirt that was a little low cut (the tattoo is right above my breast) and she saw my tattoo and gasped. I thought she was shocked I had a tattoo or something. She then pulled her shirt to the side and showed me a nearly identical tattoo in shape and size. I couldn't believe my mother had a tattoo! I asked her when she got it and she said about 2 years ago she just decided one day to get a tattoo and for some unknown reason chose a quarter moon. It is by far the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me.
My second one is a tree of life on my arm just below my elbow. It takes up about half my arm. The roots extend down and when you look at it upside down it looks like the leaves have fallen off the tree and are scattered on the ground. It represents change (as seasons change), and my deep roots.

I have a butterfly on my right ankle with my 2 daughters names above and below it. I love it and I dont regret it at all.
I want another but I am not positive what I want yet, when the right thing hits me though, I will be getting it.
DH has 2, one on each forearm, that he got on a drunken night while in the Navy. He regrets them but it is not something he can change so he doesnt dwell on it.Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance?
