I do like me some eggnog. Keep looking for it on the shelves but haven't seen any yet. They do have Eggnog Lattes and such at Starbucks.

I like the store bought stuff.....I have tried the homemade stuff and didn't much care for it.....it wasn't thick enough for me.....and I don't want the low fat stuff either.
Haha amen to the hips and butt lovin it. when i was at costco last week i was lookin for it. right in front of me another woman said "ooh eggnog" right as i went to put it in my cart, dbf walked up and was like uuuhh what are you doing (he knows what a problem i have with my habit=), she was like uh, were dieting, duh!. I promised myself that I would make it last till the expiration date, doing good so far! ive been makin it stretch by doing half nog, half milk. better for the hips, better for the wallet!
I love the idea to thin it out with milk and the idea to add it to coffee. I never thought to get creative with it. I always have to buy some around the holidays or I feel like I missed out on it . I'll have to start searching the store shelves now!

Mmmm, eggnog. I love it. I thin mine out as well with some milk and add a little nutmeg or mace on the top. I also add it to my coffee. It is good.
I also add nutmeg, and, on occasion, I add it to my coffee. Its just the same as the eggnog coffee creamer they sell seasonally, except not as expensive. I couldnt believe what I saw in the Vons ad this weekend, they had coffeemate creamer in the ad 2 for $8 and they considered it a sale! That is ridiculous!
Yes!! I found Eggnog today at the commissary. I bought two. I am going to have a glass in just a little bit. I can't wait.

I am so pleased with this thread.
Does anyone have a good recipe for eggnog.
I LOVE it but it is one the few things that I haven't been able to find in Holland. I have been given 2 recipes over the years - one with alcohol and one without - both horrible.
Oh- I'm getting all excited across here - I may have eggnog at Christmas.
Thanks !!!!!
