I'm 45 and had my last baby in August when I was 44. Being an older mom can sort of leave you without a peer group.

I was 33 when DS was born and 37 when DD was born. Now I'm 53 with an almost-20 year old and an almost 16 year old. There are times it's very rough----just don't have the energy I had even just a few years ago.

I'm almost 50 with a 16 yo. Some days I just want to go back to bed and other days I don't get up at all!

I'm almost 48 and have a 19, 17, and 13 year old. It's true about having less energy to raise them.... I'm sure I'd of had more energy in my early 20's, but oh, well!

When I was 44, I adopted a baby girl. She's now 4 years old. Making the decision to adopt her was the single best decision that I've made in my entire life. I get lots of sleep so I have plenty of energy! Now if I could just figure out a way to retire early so I could thoroughly enjoy my life

What are we considering 'older' as? I was 28 when DD was born, but just shy of 29 when we adopted her.
I'm 36, the ex is 42, the Old Man is 30 and DD is 3 months shy of 8.
I don't think of myself as an 'older mom' but the majority of people I went to school with have kids who are getting ready to graduate HS. The other moms at DD's school my age have older children.
I think I am in the middle... but 'they' say I am old
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!
