Snow/Winter lovers kith?
I LOVE this time of year! (of course that might be because I'm a homebody and don't EVER get cabin fever).
In the stores and talking to people makes me realize how (apparently) weird I am. Everyone's complaining and I'm lovin' it!
Every checkout person says to me, won't you be happy when all this weather is gone? NOOOOO. I get slightly depressed in the spring when it melts, and gets balmy and yuck.
Anyone else out there love the beauty of a snowy cold day?

You are my twin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel the same way as you. I get depressed a bit when the winter is over, too. There aren't many like us.
Everyone here is sick to death of all the snow and cold we've had this year...

I love it too! In fact, it's snowing hard right now...yippee!!
How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

I love snow... I hate when it comes down 3 feet at a time!
I still love to watch it snow, and I have been known to catch a flake or two on my tongue.
I use to love winter, but that was before I had to drive in it. I an not scared of the icy roads, I am scared of the other people who forget that... ice is slippery and they can't drive like 'normal'
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I love fall and winter, the cool air hits in October and it carries me thru February. Then the nasty winds of March blow it all away. The only thing about March is that it leads to gardening. I struggle to survive the sun and humidity until finally October rolls around again.

This morning I was driving in to work and the trees were white and pretty. I love it when it snowing. I hate it when I have to work in it.

I LOVE SNOW and the shorter winter days when their here. I would say one of the biggest things I miss having moved several hundred miles or so south of where I grew up is the snow. Every once in a while we get a good dumping on but usually it stops just across the river and all we get is a quick ground cover that's gone before the day is out. I don't think my boys have gotten to play in it in a couple of years.

P.S. I don't dream of those vacations on tropical islands (in the thousand degree heat). I dream of lodges with big windows, roaring fires, snow on the ground with woods to hike in, and hot chocolate!

TheRootedNomad--that's what we have up north. A cabin and woodstove, and woods, and hiking, and a stack of books, and all. But we are here because we are babysitting MIL's dog and FIL is ill.
We have some snow here, but much more there. Sometimes we can't even get back to it without a snowmobile.
