Fall soup challenge
Okay, okay, I am in the fall mood and this is the time of year that I love to be in the kitchen. Soup is frugal and healthy and there are several that I have in mind to make from my cookbooks. Also just making my own recipe up and freeze the rest. Potato and leek soup is calling my name.
Maybe we could post pics. Anyone interested? I'm not sure of the amount, but maybe 3 or 4 different kinds?

Are you thinking 3 or 4 for just September or for a few months?

I'd be willing to commit to one soup per month until the end of the year.

Just 3 or 4 for the fall months, not monthly.

Okay three would probably be more reasonable.

On Sunday we had the most delightful mushroom soup at our soccer meeting. Everything was chopped finely and although it was a cream soup, it was not heavy. Thought that I tasted sherry in it. would love to be able to duplicate this soup.
I'm in for fall soup challenges + I'll get new soup recipes!! We are going to share recipes aren't we?Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

This sounds interesting. I make soup every Friday during the cool months. The problem is I don't use recipes. I put what I have into a pot. Maybe this will make me write down what I am doing.

I love making soups when it is cold.
-broccoli cheese
-chicken noodle
-pea w/ham or w/o
-vegetable/veg beef
-chicken gnocchi (duplicated Olive Garden)
-mash potato soup w/ cheese
Are a few i have done in the past.
Need to learn
-Cream of onion (like outback)
-bean w/ bacon
-cauliflower cheese
Add to my list by 2 or three every year. Make most of my soups from starting w/ other soups.

I'm in too. If I have to have a recipe that means my cookbooks had best come off the shelf......I never use a recipe. Guess all of mine are called leftover soup.......or clean out the freezer soup.
Crockpot full of soup and the bread maker going with bread....oh yeah!

I am definitely in for this one! I love making soups! I am in for 4 before the end of the year. Do we count chili as part of this challange? No biggie if not...I just figured that I would ask.

Oh I'm in for this as well. I love soup. I make some kind of soup almost every sunday! It's usually some sort of bean or lentil with ham or sausage. I have some stew beef thawed I need to cook tonight and I would love to make some kind of soup out of it, but I've never made a beef soup, just bean or chicken. I'll have to look up some recipes and see what I can come up with!
