Well eating from the freezer above the fridge was a great success. Lots of stuff got used up. Could probably go a few more days with what is in there but I took out a turkey to cook tomorrow since I have the day off. We will be eating the leftovers from it this week.
May eat the rest of the stuff up there next week.Debra

tonight was salmon and green beans from the freezer...with potatoes from the fridge (they were growing a little old). I also made some lf sf blueberry muffins using leftover apple juice concentrate, some leftover Eggbeaters due to go bad soon, some blueberries from the freezer, and some old nutmeg (I put in double the amount called for) from the cupboard.
Anyway, everything tasted mega-good!2013 Challenges

I never buy whole chickens. I DO NOT cut them up and feel like when I take the meat off the bone I am wasting a good amount of the meat. Well, a while back the store had chicken on sale 55 cents a pound. I bough one chicken because it was only 2.50 for a chicken. Well, I finally got it out to make chicken n dumplings. I usually use the frozen package dumplings. Well, we were out. I made from scratch dumplings. It turned out really good.
Used: whole chicken, flour, lard, chicken stock, green beans,
(summary of the week)
frozen bean soup, frozen bread, frozen chicken salad, finished off a frozen chopped onion, two bags of shredded turkey for casserole, pack of cheese, noodles, cream soup, frozen meatloaf, frozen spaghetti sauce, salad components

O.K We are on our last 2 weeks of meat from our freezer. It looks like it will either be chicken or hamburger meat for the rest of the month. I'm so glad that I did this challenge. It helped my budget and forced me to take a hard look at what I had stockpiled.

Hubby requested breakfast for supper again. Cheese omelets, bacon, hashbrowns and toast. Works for me.
Used more of the frozen hash browns, some of the bacon, some of the shredded cheese and half dozen eggs. Also used the last of the chopped red and green peppers I had frozen.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. Let us know how it went. I know I, myself, found it interesting.
Here we went thru some more spaghetti noodles and sauce. Hubby wanted breakfast AGAIN. More eggs, more of the opened bacon. Eggs, french toast, bacon. He has 4 bottles of syrup opened in the fridge. Why?? No idea. Picked the one with the least amount in it to get rid of it. Can't combine cause couple of sugar free and others not. Diabetic. I don't eat it. Getting rid of the 4 bottle would add a bit more room.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. Had a whole meal out of the freezer today. Finally getting back to cleaning out some things.
I can see a 'dent' in it. Goes really slow when you are only cooking for one. But you had a FULL freezer!
