I finally grilled my turkey yesterday and I finished a pkg of walnuts from the freezer. May have to use some other kind of nuts for the rest of the banana bread. I'm sure DH doesn't really care.
Off to check the freezer for nuts.

I think I can get done with this in August. I just sat down and made menus through Aug. 22nd. I am going on vacation 22nd to 27th and should be out of food after vacation. Hopefully I will not spend too much on groceries (we are out of butter and peanut butter).

So far I took frozen pinto beans and hamburger meat and home canned tomatoes and made chili. I also took potatoes that were on the way out, some frozen cheese, some left over bacon, and one day past expiration date milk and made potato soup. I call that progress.

Making some serious progress using up the canned food.

I have some bread flour that I need to get going with the bread machine.

Freezer is seriously empty and lonely again.

used up some frozen canned biscuits (not a great idea to freeze canned biscuits in my opinion) and ate them for supper and breakfast. Today is leftovers and meatloaf. The meatloaf is from the freezer and I will be making the rest of the potatoes into cubed cooked or mashed potatoes to get rid of them. We will also have home canned green beans.

~My freezer is nearly empty and ready to be defrosted and stocked up again.
If you all don't mind can I do the opposite of the challenge for August? I want to have lots of stuff ready for when the baby comes.~

~Ok, I thought I remembered seeing a thread about what we were putting in our freezers but I couldn't remember what it was called. Took a while searching for it but I found it and since I'm putting in I'll use that thread. ~
