How do I load pictures to a post and have them show up as thumbnails?
Thanks in advance.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

When others post pictures, the words on top of the section says "attached thumbnails". When I posted 2 pictures in the 2011 Crochet Corner thread, they showed as "attached images" Surely, I am just doing something wrong. I am sure you did a tutorial, I just am not finding it. If I find it, I will let you know. Thanks

Did you click "manage attachments" and then upload your pictures or did you do something else?

If you use the insert image button (little mountain with a sun), it will simply be an inserted image and not a thumbnail. To get a thumbnail, you need to use the manage attachments button (additional options below the post form and submit reply buttons) and upload an image.

Here is what I did from the instructions below:
attach files
manage attachments
upload file from your computer
browse
then upload
both pictures are showing as attached to this thread at this point.
Now I am going to save this post. (If this works correctly this time, I am going to disappear!)
Nope, they still showed up as :attached images"Last edited by Labontet; 01-29-2011 at 08:55 PM. Reason: showing result of adding pics

hmmm, I wonder. Are you attaching the actual image or the thumbnail of the image? The reason I ask... The size of that last picture you attached is only 3.4KB and that seems too small for an image.

clicked on the paper clip at the top next to the smile it opened another window
browsed for my image
opened it
clicked the upload button closed that window
Then hit the submit button in the original window"Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

One picture I took still came over as an Image. The other one is from the internet It came over as a thumbnail as it is supposed to. I guess the problem lies in the size of picture coming from my camera as Russ stated. Thanks everyone, I guess I will research my pictures on my camera.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

Are we allowed to use a Photobucket IMG link for photos? I posted some pics like that one time, and they worked, but the next day they were gone!

I believe if you use Photobucket or any other pic off the internet and NOT saved first on your computer....once the pic disappears off the internet it disappears off any place any user of said pic disappears also. Needs to first be saved on your computer.
On other words once the poster of the pic you posted removes it ...it removes it everywhere from everyone that used it.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
