Thumbs up Free Text Messaging to any phone from computer

Just thought I would share a site I found that lets you send text messages for free to any cell phone carrier right from your computer.

    http://www.text4free.net/

I've got a cell phone that doesn't have any texting messages included in the package (plus they are a little difficult to type on my phone). My husband has a tracfone to help keep expenses down and it was hard to find a service that sent messages to tracfone. This one sends to every carrier I've ever heard of, even many I haven't - including international carriers.

Sometimes I only need to send him a small message and not actually call him, so this is perfect for us. You don't even have to register and give personal information away.

I hope someone else can use this.

It sounds like a great idea but the only thing I would worry about is the website selling the cell numbers to telemarketers.

I haven't used Yahoo Instant Messenger in ages, however, I know before that I could send a text from the IM'er to a cell phone and they could reply back to you. It also was free!
