Turns out this wasn't a real one!

Looks like this wasn’t a legit freebie folks. Massive apologies for any confusion or headaches we caused by posting it.

I’m getting a lot of worried e-mails from people asking if this company now has access to their e-mail or credit card information and the answer is no! I signed up for the “freebie” like everybody else and the only information they have is our mailing address and e-mail address. That’s it. Which means, we’ll most likely see an increase of junk mail going directly to our spam folder.

The confirmation e-mail that they sent out had a link in it, which I also clicked. Some of you were worried that this might give them access to your e-mail account, but I can assure you they don’t! In order to have access to your e-mail, you would have had to give them your password and nowhere did they ask for that.

Please don’t worry folks. This is simply a fake freebie set up with the sole purpose of collecting our e-mails. As long as you have a spam filter (and 99% of emails do), then you’re fine. There are hundreds of these set up every day and we here at HIF do our best to identify them and kick them to the curb. This is the first one that’s slipped past us in a long while, but I can assure you nothing catastrophic will come of it.

FYI this link was posted on a coupon/freebie board that I belong too, and alot of the members sstated that this was spam.....I'm not 100% sure. I guess we will all find out if we receive the item or not lol.
