    Talking Birthday freebies?

I started investigating this last year, when I was feeling grumpy about celebrating another birthday without a birthday budget. I Googled, "birthday freebies" and found a ton of sites that collect all the offers out there. Lots of them were for businesses that I don't have in my area, or just for things I don't want, even if free (sorry, Denny's Grand Slam), but there was plenty I was interested in.

Some you have to sign up for ahead of time to get the email offers and/or join their "club", but some you can just show up for on your birthday and get your freebie. Some offers require you to purchase something (usually a buy one, get one), but some are completely free.

So, go ahead, start your Googling, and enjoy some fun freebies when you turn a year older!

I'm turning 37 tomorrow, so this is on my mind today. I have my free drink at Starbucks, free scoop at Baskin Robbins, free yogurt at Yogurtland, free burger at Red Robin, free gift (last year was makeup, this year is bath products) at Sephora, and more, all waiting for me to go get them. Woohoo!

I got a free yogurt at Yogurtland and free gifts at Sephora and Aveda on my birthday (I went out on my lunch break at work; it was a nice "different" thing to do).

Yesterday, I used my free birthday drink coupon at Starbucks. I still have a free burger at Red Robin, a free ice cream at Baskin Robbins, and a free meal at Mimi's to "cash in" (these are all good for another week or so).

Here's another freebie that I am using to celebrate my birthday, but it's not really birthday-related: the first Sunday of each month is the free day at the Asian Art Museum in SF and we are going. I love art museums but can't afford the admission price. Most of the big museums here have a monthly free day on a weekday, which doesn't work for me. And Sundays don't always work if I am working on the weekend...but this Sunday works *and* it's the last chance to view the Bali exhibit that I really want to see. Yay!

    Hooray for freebies,
    Kara

Happy birthday, Jas! Glad you got some birthday freebies. It seems to be a whole separate category of what freebies companies might offer. Discovering this made birthdays fun for me again.

Oooh, another Kara on the board- me too! We're not too common, but there's some of us out there!

For those of you who have a card for CVS- free ECBs on your birthday, if you wave your card at the red coupon machine in store....I think it's $3, will find out on my bday next month!

$3 free.....I'll take it...that could be a cheap makeup tem or something good from the discount shelf!!!
