Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year...it's the day after Thanksgiving. Tons of great deals, early store hours, pure madness if you ask me!
We don't have Black friday deals here, however we have what is called Boxing day sales, the day after Christmas and it's always a zoo, especially at places like Walmart. Those sales usually last a full week as well.
I refuse to shop the week after Christmas only because people goes crazy. You take your life into your own hands whenever you hit those sales.

So true. I really hate the crowds. However, I usually go to the Joann's sale. That's how I got 34 yd of flannel last year for only $34 I have been telling myself that I won't go again this year, but I haven't seen the flyer yet
I actually kind of like going to that sale because they open at 6:00 AM. So, I roll out of bed and drive on up there and wait in line outside at 5:45. Only the other fabric and craft nuts are that crazy
The past few years, the only stores I have gone to are Ace hardware and Office Max, sometimes Sears if they have a good deal on tools. Last year at office max, we got so much for free. My husband bought stuff for work, then he bought stuff and then I bought stuff. The best was that it was free after rebate. I went to walmart one year after the doorbuster sales and still got the deals. They hadn't changed the prices yet.
I normally dont go because the nearest Wal-Mart was about 30 mins away. In 2003 they built a Supercenter less than 10 mins from me,so last year I braved it and went....there was hardly anyone there!! No waiting in lines,no people fighting lol
I just figured everyone was shopping at JCPenneys,Macys..etc...
And the day after Christmas was the same....hardly anyone there.
