    Default Who did Black Friday Shopping?

    And what did ya get? Do tell.
    I didn't do the early thing. I may run into Bealls this afternoon to do a couple of exchanges but didn't hit the early run. Please tell us all about your bargains, enquiring minds need to know.

    I wanted to, but the thought of bringing all 3 kids into a crowded store made me more than a little anxious.

    I am feeling icky this morning so I did not go to any of them. I scanned through the ads in the paper and did not see anything the would have enticed me to get up at that hour and go shopping though.

    I ran out to JoAnnes for the 99 cent flannel sale. I'm making DH pajama pants for Christmas. I think that's the only shopping I'll do today!

    Gabe went early with a friend to Best Buy and bought me a new digital camera.

    I went. It was a last minute decision since I woke up at 3:45 I figured I mind as well see what it is like since I never went before. I got to walmart right before they opened and the line was crazy long. It was sooo crowded in there. I got a portable dvd player, I probably will keep it till my sons birthday in April I really dont know if it was a good price but since everyone was grabbing one I grabbed one too, lol It cost $49. I then went to sears which was right accross the street and it was pretty empty. They handed me a $10 giftcard since I was one of the first 200 people. I ended up buying dh a pair of sneakers which I got for 19.99 after the sale and gift card were deducted.

    I didn't go to the stores BUT I did get a few things online this morning at 4am, does that count. Alot of the stores have some usually not all of there Black Friday sales online.
    I shopped on Walmart...

    I got:
    PJ's for the kids (Includes Robe, slippers, shirt and pants) $10 each
    Track suits for the 2 oldests - $7 each
    Easy Bake Oven (DD2 has been begging to cook with the lightbulb LoL)- $10
    Doodle Bear- $10
    Dora The Explorer Doll- $15
    Cabbage Patch Doll- $10
    Game Boy Micro- $39.99
    Had a gift card from Walmart because I returned a gift I got as a house warming gift that I already had, so they gave me the recipt to return it. So that paid for shipping and tax!

    Grandpa offered to watch the 3 girls this afternoon, so I will get some "me" time and do alittle more shopping.

    Nothing early this morning. I didn't leave the house until after 11am, when most of the early bird specials ended. There wasn't anything other than the $20 gift card at the PX that I wanted...and obviously that wasn't enough to make me get out of bed at o'dark thirty

    I got two Flutter Chairs for my daughters for only $17 each. I also got a few small things for my older dd. I went to the PX and got younger dd done for MIL (she gives us the cash to buy their gifts) and bought Napoleon Dynamite for $6 for older dd.

    That's it

    I didn't. My dd worked from 8-12 and when I picked her up we attempted to go to Kohl's because they have medium sized jar candles in Christmas scents for $3.99. But the parking lot was packed so I said forget it! LOL

    I went shopping-but none of the "black friday" items at our base exchange interested me.

    Funnily enough, there were boxes and slips to fill out with PS3 on them. So I thought ok, it'd be neat if I won one. But then I read the sign more and realized the raffle was for the chance to BUY a PS3! Well, for $600, I quickly crumpled that paper up and threw it away!

    Nope. I get crowd rage. I don't even go into Wal-Mart between Black Friday and New Years day.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference
