Bargain at Walgreen's this week...
This week Walgreen's (definitely MA, hopefully everywhere else) is selling a dozen eggs for $1 and Jones sausages for $1, and english muffin 8 pack for $1, and Pancake mix you pour from the bottle for $1. The Sunday paper here had a $1 coupon for the pancake mix.
I figure I can get 2 boxes of sausages, 2 dozen eggs, 2 packs of english muffins, and 2 bottles of pancake mix (w/ coupon) for $7. That can make many many breakfasts for a very cheap price!
Hope this helps everyone on the grocery challenge...

I just got back from Walgreens. Free this month: toothbrush, shampoo, cold medicine, tampons, and something else I can't remember. A very good haul!!!! Also, I got the .25 pudding, $1 socks, $1.50 Progresso soup, and $5 batteries (16 pack).

I loooove Walgreens. I think they have some of the best deals around. Today I went and spent $23.70, but after rebates it will only be $6.21. They have a great deal on stayfree and carefree pads right now. The boxes are $5.00 each so when you buy 2 you get $10.00 back. Nothing better than free! They also have excedrin on sale for $3 and you get a $3.00 rebate back. I need to go back and get the english muffins. The brand that is on sale right now is my favorite.

I was sure to check this stuff out yesterday. My grandmother and I went in and spent a total of twenty dollars between the two of us and we got plenty of bags worth of breakfast goodies and things for next christmas, they had ninety percent off selected seasonal, which the clerk nicely informed us meant everythign that was still on the shelves! so we stocked up on 30 count tissue paper for 10 cents! and 3ct shirt boxes for 15 cents!
I never pass us a chance on those brown sausages either. me and my bro and sis are more than ok with just eggs and toast most weekend morning but sometimes, a little sausage on the side makes such a big difference.
gotta love walgreens!
