Wow!! The bargains I got today shopping!!!

I got some great bargains when I shopped today.

Firstly, our supermarkets here sell (in the meat dept) fresh hamburger patties in a box of 8. They are normally so expensive (I could buy about 750g of mince and make my own for the price, plus there would be so many more) at $5.99 for the eight. Today I got them marked down to $2 a box!!! And the date is still the 4the Dec (wonder about the preservatives hmmm). So i bought the four packets that there were and put themin the freezer. Don't forget it's coming up summer here so will be bbqing lots soon.

The second bargain was sausage mince. Normally $1.99, I got it for 99c. There were three packs so I got them all and threw them in the freezer too. I use this mince for sausage rolls and my meatloaf.

I managed so well this week. I got everything I needed plus stocked up on the summer groceries that were running low (salad dressings, tinned potato salad for emergencies, etc) and I did it all under budget. SO happy!!

I think I did so well because over the past 3-4 fortnights (I shop fortnightly) I have been fine tuning a shopping master list that I made up on the computer. This has made keeping the pantry stocked soooo easy. I recommend this to everyone.
