Default Mat. leave and crafting

Yet another quick question (I probably could have combined this with my other post but I just thought of it now...):

When you're on mat leave, if you make any money crafting, do you need to declare that as income? I'm not trying to cheat the system, but I was just cuious if the occasional $50 (or whatever amount) I could potentially earn selling crafts qualifies as income that needs to be declared (and there taken off dollar for dollar from the EI payments)?
