Christmas mission: To purchase as many gifts...
at a discount or used (if possible)!!!
Soooo I need opinions!!!!! I have a friend that is selling their 3yo Wii game system for $150.
-Wii
-(2) controllers with nunchuck
-Wii Sports
-Mario Galaxy
-Metroid Prime
-High School Musical Sing It
This would be for my 7yo DS (8 in Feb) and I have no idea if this is a good deal or not!

It is a good price. I say go for it if you can afford it but I would wait until after black Friday in case there is a really good deal that day.

it would depend on how much use it got to me- who knows how long they last its not under warrenty so you might end up only having it a year till it gives up on you if it was highly used .
that said we got ours the first year it came out and its going strong but last year ds bought himself an excoc and uses that more now .
they are running i believe 149 now new with one controller and numchuck.
TRU has all their controllers 50% off this weekend and also their games buy 1 get 1 40% off .*~Debbi~*

Here in the US there is a place called game stop, you can get used video game systems there, that have been refurbished and with warranty. I would check and see what their prices are used, if they ship to Canada or if there is a similar business where you are.

personally i usually buy new with electronics or only used with a warrenty - to me its something i cant fix myself if there is an issue - so i need to know it should last a while .

It was a HUGE hit to DS#2's allotted Christmas budget but I bought new. I'm a warranty needer with this sort of thing I guess but honestly I didn't realize it until I started looking into used electronics!!
