Default Laundry detergent: bio vs non-bio

Hey everyone. I'm from the US so I have no idea what bio and non-bio mean. Can someone explain the difference and how it affects my clothes, skin, etc?

Thanks!

Hi,

AKAIK, biological washing stuff has a biological enzyme in it, this is meant to be good for breaking down proteins etc and so are good for stain removal. Non-bio's don't have the enzymes and is better for natual fibres like silk and wool.

Non-bio is also meant to be better for people with sensitive skin. In terms of what's best for cleaning I think it's an individual thing, people have their favourites depending on what kind of dirt and stains they're dealing with really. I always use non-bio liquid and rarely have any issues.

basically what Britbunny said the bio has enzymes and extra stuff in.

I used to use the non bio but with the kids clothes i found the stains didnt come out as well as when i used bio.
