Back and re-attempting frugality
Wow, it has been a busy busy time, but I'm back. I'm trying to set myself a couple more challenges for the year in order to save an emergency fund and also try to save for a car. I'd also like to get back into batch cooking and meal planning a lot more as I've really let myself slip with that. Hope everyone has been ok.

I know what you're saying about slipping. The last two months have not been as frugal as they could be. We've had so much going on (excuses). But now I'm ready to get back on the wagon too.

Hi KB,
I'm being ultra frugal too, good to have someone else here doing it too! Saving for a car is fun, lol.

Thanks everyone. It's good to be back! Now I've got to crack on with some mealplans and plan a batch cooking day so I'm not slaving away if summer comes! I'm planning a big batch of chilli, one of bolognese and a couple of slow cooker pie fillings but beyond that my list for ready meals is a little empty. I'll put my thinking cap on.

I buy reduced mince whenever i see it , i used to brown it , add tvp and onion and freeze it in meal portion sizes...... I have stopped doing that now , i just weight it in meal portion sizes roll them up like a sausage in brown paper and freeze, it saves taking up a lot of room in the freezer.
