I was mugged a long time ago now (he got nothing as i dont have a mobile and do not carry around much) but ever since i have stopped carrying a purse , tomorrow its asda for me so the envelope called Asda comes out . i have a list and a coin bag with money in it. Now i know this is a 20min each way walk so i dont carry too much but its amazing how you focus and add up your purchases when there is no card to use . when the moneys gone its gone so you end up being more fixed on what the buy and many a time i have stood at the self services poping my pennies in . i think of it as a game of mental arithmatic.and the more money left over in the envelope the better i have done
