We lost our power and telephone last Friday and...

we just got it back in the early morning hours today. It was my dh's and my birthday, so we had planned some wonderful dinners, and some decadent desserts.

It was the third week of storms for us. The first week we had damage when a tornado touched down, the second week we had more damage with the worst electrical storm anyone here can remember, and last Friday a wind storm came out of the blue and ripped out major power and telephone cables in our area.

We are thankful that everyone is safe, and we are slowly making our way through the clean up and repair. It is amazing but so far there have not been any reported injuries due to the storms.

As I am new to this site, and also part of the baking club, I just wanted to explain my absence.

Our hot water tank was damaged and is leaking so we had to turn our water off. So, once I get that fixed and get water running again, I will be back to baking up a storm.

I have to make up for all those decadent desserts we missed last week. LOL

I will post some recipes next week as well.

OH dear! I am so glad you all are alright! I hope the storms let up for a while so you can finish your repairs!

Yvonne so glad all is well even if you didn't get to bake last week, you can still make up for it. As long as everyone is safe that is what matters.

Maybe she's close to you.... I'd go over and eat if I were you !!!!!
