03/13/2009 What are your "Frugal Friday" plans?
Good morning all! It's going to be chilly here today, around 45 I think. I hope to have a very frugal day.
so far I have:
-had coffee/breakfast
-fed the kids
-kids up and waiting on school bus
-checked in at FV (of course)
-started the laundry
plan to do today:
-shower and dress
-trip to Aldis to shop for our town's new food pantry that will open next week (thanks to the ministerial alliance!)
-2 more loads of laundry
-general clean up of the kitchen and living room
-cook supper
-relax and read
My only spending today will be for the food pantry and a few staples we need for home, so I am considering this a frugal day!DJ

Today is errand day so I'll be heading to the pharmacy, the grocery store, the club store, walmart and sometime in there I have OT. Thank goodness I think I only have 2 more weeks. It takes a big chunk of time out of the day. I wanted to make it to my local Extension office, but I don't think I will.
I did make a big dent in my pantry organizing yesterday.
Everybody have a good day!

Yay for Fridays!!
I am leaving work early today because I worked 3 hours over yesterday due to an issue that we had. I hope to get out of here by 2:00. I am having my 4 yr old niece over to spend the night tonight so that should be fun. Her most favorite thing to do with me is bake cupcakes (or pupcakes as she calls them). So the evening will consist of playing with her. Once she is in bed I will get a few things done around the house. I am sure that there will be some straightening to do after she destroys everything. I also need to spend some time getting ready for my grocery shopping tomorrow. I usually only shop for 1 week but I am shopping for 2 this week because I go out of town for 6 days on Thursday. I need to make sure that I have enough stuff in the house for the others to cook.

Nothing exciting or profound going on here today. DD wants to be checked out of school this afternoon so I will get her between 12:00-1:00. Her Sweet 16 is in about 6 weeks and I am trying to get everything ready for her blow-out party. DS wants to go to the batting cage this evening so we'll head there after dinner.
Not really a whole lot more happening for us. We are just going to take it easy.DD (20)

Let's see, for today~
~Clean #2 bathroom today, since I never got around to it the the other day.
~Strip the sheets off my bed & put fresh sheets back on. Don't you just love to sleep on fresh sheets?
~Figure out something for dinner, I'm thinking breakfast burritos & home fries?
~Dust our bedroom & the den. I try to get around to doing this every week, but I just hate doing it, so sometimes it's every two weeks.
~Pick up kids from school & make sure 14 dd. gets her chores finished for this week.
She's had quite a bit of homework the past 2 nights, so I've been lenient.
~Start my inventory of my HBA upstairs in the linen closets, then all I'll have left are the freezers. Whoohoooo!!!
Have a GREAT weekend everybody!
It's supposed to be rainy, cold & yuck here all weekend, so I've gotta a feeling we won't be doing much outside, besides going to visit my Dad.Michelle in middle Tennessee!
Ever so slowly rebuilding my stockpile...

~Hubby has the day off so we started the day with dunkin' donuts. :-) Friday the 13ths are kinda a family holiday at our house.
So far I just did the dishes this morning, then swept and mopped the kitchen floor.
If it warms up today I want to trim my rose bushes and clean up leaves. I really need to run some errands but I'm kinda scattered mentally today so I should probably wait until tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day!~~Constance
