    Default Frugal Friday 6/5

    Yay! The weekend is here!!!

Today the boys & I are going to walk down to the Dairy Festival. I'll pay the water bill while I'm in the area. This afternoon I'm hanging out laundry.

After dh gets home from work we are taking the kids to spend the night at my mom's. Then we're going to dinner at TGIFridays. We have a $10 gift card and a buy 1 get 1 entree free coupon. Should be able to get off pretty cheap

Oh I am so glad that it is Friday!!
I am working today. I brought my lunch and snacks from home so no expensive meals at the cafeteria.
After work I am going to sit on my patio in my sundress, prop my feet up and enjoy an evening in Texas. I will use my box fans today versus air conditioning.

Hubby is off most Fridays; so we hit some garage sales this morning. I challenged myself to stop using the dry May 15. I have a couple of rolling clothes rack that I hang things on out on the back porch.

I got a wooden drying rack at a garage sale today - WOO HOO! It will work great for socks, panties, bras, wash clothes AND it only cost me 50 cents!!

I cooked some beans to "feed my freezer" so I'll have some for recipes instead of buying cans! It's also helping me to cook down food that I already have rather than running out and buying convenience items!
I've started soaking another kind to make this evening and do the same thing with!

I have already prepped a meatloaf for tonight's dinner with meat that needs to be used from the fridge, so dinner should be easy peasy tonight.

We're about to go swimming. A friend invited us to go swimming at a pool she's a member of, so the kiddos get to swim without us having to pay anything to go to a public pool! Should be interesting since neither can really swim and I'm pregnant, but we have a few flotation toys and I expect they'll just hang out on the steps anyway, which is still really fun to them!! We'll be packing our own snacks and drinks so I am not tempted to get something before or after to snack on

The only thing I've done is put a load of clothes in the washer, clean one toilet, and laid hamburger out to thaw. I slept almost 9 hours! I'm a good to go at 6 or 7 hour kind of gal so 9 hours is a lot for me. My fiancee is working nights and is asleep right now so I'm being quiet again. BORED!
I do need to do dishes, fix dinner, dry clothes(it's raining so dryer),sweep kitchen, and do a little dusting which I absolutely hate.

I'm bringing home the projector and speakers from school to project a movie onto my sheets drying on the line. We'll watch something we already own from our tent. My kids will LOVE it and it will be the cost of electricity!

~Busy busy busy. I'm taking a 5 minute break before I go back to the kitchen. I started at 9 this morning baking cinnamon buns for a wedding next weekend. I'll be done for the day in 90 minutes and will be half done with the project. The order is for 200.
Other than that I did a quick load of laundry, supervised dd going to the potty, and took a few quick breaks here on FV.
As soon as I'm finished in the kitchen I have to sweep and dust. We have a window consultation first thing in the morning.
DH will be home for the weekend in 3 hours and we'll be going over to the in-laws for dinner.
And I need to make a quick gift for a baby shower tomorrow so hopefully I can fit that in.~

Well, we had plans to go out tonight to an outdoor movie in the park which is free, but it's raining, so that is cancelled. I went to the gym this morning and then treated the kids to Taco Bell for lunch, since we are losing out on tonight. I'm doing something hot and quick for dinner, not sure what yet, ha ha. The laundry is all done, so probably just vacuuming and wrapping up some gifts. It's so cold!

DH had some errands to do, so he dropped me off at the nursery.

I got a rose bush (climber), Some herb plants, and seeds to start in the house, Some flowers for pots (petunias always seem to be less expensive), and peony bush.

Now that are at home, it is fixing to storm (of course), and I'll have to do most of the work tomorrow.

I am going to dig up some of the beautiful forest flowers, also to put around the cabin. There are a lot of things growing out there for FREE, and grow in shade, so I'll have something to put on the north (unsunny) side of the cabin.
