    Default Frugal Friday 6/26

Good morning everyone. What's on your agenda for this frugal Friday?

I need to clean the screened porch table, iron, launder guest bed linens, dust and sweep.

We have a somewhat leisurely day today, but it'll still be busy.

    I need to:
    get to the gym
    finish my menu plan
    hit the grocery store
pack lunch and snacks for the pool
take the kids to the pool (as promised)
    make a quick dinner
    head off to baseball

I don't know how long we'll be able to stay at the pool. Two or three hours. I'm thinking maybe I can skip the gym if I swim some laps while we are at the pool, too!

Today and this weekend for the most part is going to be "spring cleaning" even though it summer. I have neglected my house for too long, and EVERYTHING needs to be done! Laundry, dishes, dusting, cleaning, organizing, decluttering(getting rid of un-needed things), I need to return bottles and cans. I'm going to be busy, busy, busy!!!

I'm working today, then will go home and clean out the fridge, have some sort of leftovers for supper. I need to do laundry, it's finally cool enough, it's been SOOO hot here. I'll probably do some straightening up and vacuuming as well. Where does all of the dust come from???

Have some salmon thawing for tonight's dinner.

Have two loads of laundry hanging out, and one washing right now.

Set up dh's meds for the next two weeks (hey don't laugh, that's considerable work!)

Cleaning and cutting up some veggies I bought yesterday.

    Paid and mailed some bills.

Have to take my walk yet (have been doing that in the cooler evenings).

    Probably knit tonight.

We stayed home today & spent no money! Woo-hoo, I need more of these days!

I got some cookies baked, apples dehydrating, 2 loads of laundry washed and hung, all the lights are off (as is the tv ~ knock on wood!), we'll be making pizza from ingredients on hand and from the garden. I still have some cleaning to do as well as some craft supplies to organize. I need to check for the paint to do the shutters. I think I'll be doing those later while my kids watch their weekly Friday movie. I am going to sew some reusable swiffer covers, too.

Laundry, laundry and more laundry. It's hanging everywhere, threatening to take over my home! Our water was fixed today after 2 days without, so I needed to catch up. Also I have to bake something for the church dinner tonite. Any ideas?

i went for my morning constitutional (walk). my pants are getting looser.

painted first coat of chocolate brown paint for powder room. looks wonderful. the two coats of primer beforehand were distinctly unfun.

took a "navy shower" and caught the excess water and gray water for the flowers, we are in a pretty bad drought in houston. pray for rain.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.
