Frugal Friday 7/31
I'm working 12 hours today. I put a load of clothes in the washer on my way to bed last night and they are now in the dryer, it's raining here and hubby doesn't know "how to hang clothes". When I get home tonight I'll probably eat some cereal and go straight to bed, I had another sleepless night, about 3 hours. I hope everyone has a nice day.

Well it's back to work for me today after being out for two days because of two sick little boys! Hopefully I do well in sales and tips to make up for the two days! Other than working, my oldest son has to have some dental work done this afternoon, and then it will be pampering him all weekend because he's going to have a sore mouth. Cleaning, and doing what laundry I can by hand since my washer broke yesterday and I have a week before my Wonderwash comes in the mail!

It's going to be a lazy day here for the most part.
I've got to run by the bank to get a certified check for some of DS's enrollment, book and testing fees. The school does accept checks & I'm not risking giving them several hundred dollars in cash.
Then I need to stop by the school and give them the certified check.
CVS has one of my insulin prescriptions ready. Got to pick it up.
Drop DD off at the museum this evening. She is volunteering for a special event they are doing for the youth and kids called "Night at the Museum". It's a scavenger hunt throughout the museum then the kids do some crafting activities. She will be dressed up as a civil war soldier and teaching the kids how to do one of the crafts.
DS, DH and I are going to the museum tonight. Not so much for the event, but more so to see DD and take some pictures.
Hope you all have a safe and happy day.DD (19)

I'm at work today from 7:30-5:30. We are leaving at 3 am for North Carolina, so when I get home I need to:
wrap up two eBay sales and get ready to mail
find Matthew's sneakers...I think they were left out in the rain last night...grrr...
finish all laundry and get it packed in our suitcases
empty the dishwasher, refill, run, and put away all dishes
go to the bank to cash a check
get vacation money from envelope and put in my wallet
take all garbage out and down to the curb
talk to my father in law about bringing up the cans while we are away, and hopefully running to the post office with the eBay sales for me
pack up the dry food goods that we'll be bringing with us
pack the books, games, and other things we'll need in addition to our clothes, towels, sheets, and toiletries
try to get to sleep early, cuz 3 am is coming fast!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

~Can't wait for the review of the Wonderwash, HotPrincess! I want an old fashioned washing tub and wringer myself. I hate the noise of washing machines!
I'm excited for you AmyBoz! Are you going to the Outer Banks? Hope you have lots of fun!
Today I'm delaying doing anything because I'm just being lazy. I did blog this morning.
I plan to finish up in my sewing area today and straighten and sweep the living room.
We're having homemade pizza with a salad for dinner tonight so I need to pull the cheese out of the freezer.
Might get in a fun sewing project and some video games. Depends on how good the kids are.
The weekend needs to get here quick!~~Constance

My orginal plan for the day was to do the laundry, clean kitchen - dishes mostly, and pick-up living room and office.
However, the closet decided to fall this morning, so I may hold off on the laundry. My DH is going to try and fix it (at least temporally) this evening. We are planning on moving this fall when our lease is up, so I am going to box up some of our winter clothing to take some of the stress off the closet. We can always get it back out if we don't move or need it later.Julie

I decided to take the day off and work on some cooking and baking. So, I didn't go to the gym and hung out inside the kitchen. Made taco soup, that's in the crock pot right now. Made brownies, cupcakes, and cut up some cantaloupe. Also, made a batch of waffles for the weekend breakfasts.
Wrote down some new recipes for our recipe book and going through my 2 new Taste of Home magazines, to mark recipes to try for the fall. Still have to make our weekly menu, but waiting till Hubby gets home, because he likes to help chose dishes.

My frugal Friday
A nice, light rain kept me indoors most of the day, so this morning I got up very early, attended to the internet, picked my rasps, swept my floors, toasted some homemade croutons and refrigerated them, pared and froze some apples, and then got down to work cleaning and washing the 4 remaining pails of Nanking Cherries. I finished that at 2 PM, then did some errands downtown for a No Spend Day; then walked home in the rain, enjoying the experience.
After I had a good rest, I got down to work again and processed the juice. It's all in the freezer now, and the piles of dishes are done, the garbage is out, and the day's work is completed.
Tomorrow is the start of a new month--August, with a new budget and new plans.
