Default Frugal Friday August 7th, 2009

Just got home from work, and am headed to bed for three hours
Placing a BIG textbook order when I wake up
    Laundry
Work on getting the house ready for real estate people Sunday
A dear friend brought me some zucchini yesterday, so maybe I'll shred it up for the freezer and bake some bread
The Indiana State Fair opens today, I would LOVE to go, we'll see if I'm OK to drive on so little sleep

Well it's off to work for me. Til 2pm, then it's home to clean, and rearrange my living room. Laundry, dinner, dishes...This weekend is going to be a long tiring weekend of cleaning and rearranging! Blah. I might try and get out and enjoy the sunshine if I have the time!

Today could easily be a full day for me, or I could just as easily let it be a lazy one. DD goes back to school this Monday and DS goes back next Monday. There are a few things I have to get taken care of before they go back.

Somethings I need to get done today:

*Take DD and DS for haircuts.

*Take DD to get her eyebrows waxed.

*It's tax-free weekend so some clothes shopping, school supply shopping and maybe some electronics shopping (for Christmas gifts) are in order. Since our sales tax is 10%, it makes it worth my while to take advantage of tax-free weekend.

*Take DD to work and pick her up.

*Clean the house. I mean serious cleaning. I want to go to the lake Sunday but won't let myself go unless the house is sparkling clean.

*Sign DD up to take the ACT.

*As usual I have no clue what dinner will be, yet.

Hope y'all have a safe and happy day!!!

I hope to make today a no drive no spend day. I need to make some phone calls, iron, do a load of laundry, vacuum, sweep and make dinner.

~Too much to do to even list. The basics are the regular weekly cleaning, 3 loads of laundry, textbook ordering, cooking dinner for company, packing for a day on the road and MD tomorrow, and trying not to freak out. I'm just a smidge stressed.
I'm just living by my timers today. 20 minutes of work and 10 minutes on FV. Hopefully everything gets done.
    Hoping everyone enjoys their Friday!~

    Happy it's Friday!!

    Major cleaning day and weekend!!

    Plan meals for next week.

    Post Office run.

    Bank.

    Exercise.

    Pay bills.

sounds like a normal day to me!! going to try for a frugal weekend - would love to go see Julie & Julia - but will probably wait for it to come out on DVD. That's okay too.

    Have a great Friday!!

A warm, windy day here. Beautiful summer. Took the car to have it serviced, had a hair appointment, went to the gym. Now I am doing some laundry, freezing blackberries, and shredding mail. A birthday party to attend tonight...ice cream cake, here I come. Hope you have a nice Friday!

I just got home from a 12 hour work day. I've got a crispy chicken strip heating in the oven, and I'm going to fix a salad with it. Then I'm off to bed.
