Hi Rebecca. I've been up over an hour also, but I know what I'm doing today. I'm working 12 hours. It is suppose to be in the 80's here today. I hope everyone has a nice day.

I just got home from a long night at work, my little baby patient is mighty sick and her parents are moving today - say a prayer for little Elizabeth please??

After a couple hours sleep, DD#2 will be home from North Carolina for a visit!!! Hooray!!!

Go to the bank, pay a few bills, get groceries

Not much else, as I have to turn around and work days (which I HATE) with Elizabeth at her NEW home, 50 miles the other direction from her old home. Hope I can find it (Google maps don't fail me now!!)

I'm feeling pretty tired this morning due to my own foolishness of staying up too late last night. I am looking foward to today but wish I had more energy. (Maybe I can leave work early and squish in a nap.)

    For today:
    ~ work
    ~ hang new shower liner
~ very quick straighten of the house as we did all the heavy stuff yesterday so we could enjoy the weekend
    ~ bake a cookie cake
~ make a call to the bank and deal with why they are debiting funds from my second account when they should be being debitted from my primary one
~ supervise and feed the gaggle of 10 to 13 year old boys that will be spending the night and all day tomorrow

As for the frugalness of my day....
~ laundry will be done with homemade detergent
~ lunch containers will be washed
~ dealing with the bank should take care of service charges I shouldn't be recieving (I'm only suppose to have 3 transactions a month form the 2nd account but they started putting everything through there about 2 weeks ago - according to the statement)
~ Having the overnight is part of my son's birthday present from last week. Instead of expensive parties the kids always ask to have friends over. They will make use of the video and board games as well as the soccer stuff. I'll be making one of those big chocolate chip cookie cakes from scratch instead of buying one. I'll pop a ton of popcorn and I have salsa and chips I got for a quarter a bag with coupons. There is plenty of fruit in the house I'll put out (cherry picked seasonal stuff) along with carrot and celery sticks and a couple of jugs of kool-aid. I was going to do pizza but they will have already eaten dinner and I'll have them all until after dinner time tomorrow so I'll save the pizza deal I have until then.
~ Entertainment for me and hubby will be on the computer or reading library books or just playing with the kids.

I'm looking foward to the hub-bub of the boys and thier friends this evening but REALLY want that nap. I don't want to get grouchy when it starts getting late. Gotta find a way to get it in.

    Happy Friday!!!!!

Got my "clean out the refrig" soup pot going.
    Kids off to school
Husband out to work and I'm getting ready to head out next.
Have an interview today for a position at the park I volunteer at. Hope this person is a good fit we need someone fast.

Weekend will be very quiet as contractor still hasn't paid us for job completed on the 21st of last month. Wish it was possible to take back the paint I put on his building. Oh, well thankfully this type of thing doesn't happen too often.

Have gotten DH off to work and DD off to school. DS is still in bed. His school doesn't have Friday classes plus he is sick.

DD will most likely be calling me to check her out after fourth period. She took a knee to the kidney area last night at the ballpark and can barely move. She wants to be exempt from her exam and is trying to stick it out at school today.

I need to run by the hospital and see the new addition to the family. But, I don't go into parking decks alone so I will wait until DH gets home to go with me.

No other real plans for the day. Just going to be a bum and lay around all day.

It's another work day for me! I have to work 1-9 today. It's a beautiful week here, sunny and cool. My kind of weather!

    So far today I have....

Gotten up at 5am to help dd get ready for the senior pics they do at school. Had to curl that massive amount of hair she has and do her makeup. Got the kids fed and on the bus.

Ran to town to do a couple of errands.

Fried up 16 sausage patties and made homemade biscuits. That will help dh with his packed breakfast while he works days this weekend and the kids can have a ready made breakfast too.

    Still need to....

    Unload and reload the dishwasher

    Get a shower

Pack my lunch and get off to work. It's a holiday weekend and we are busy!!

My friend Paula and her dh and kids are coming up to camp tonight! Haven't seen them since July 4th week so I can't wait!

Dh was off work today so we did a little deep cleaning in the house together. That was nice because he mopped the kitchen floor really well for me. I did a few errands, cooking and not much else.

Not too frugal here today. Picked up groceries, gas, stopped at Goodwill and the Thrift store. Then I came home and did some housecleaning, cut grass, washed vehicle and did some crocheting.

    Smile My frugal Friday

Up early at 6:30 AM. Have been sleeping a little later for the past week or two; I get tired this time of year with the 18 hour days.

Cooked Red River cereal for breakfast (multi-grain). Picked off a few rasps. Got started on preps for baking bread today. Made the whole-wheat dough; don't have bread machine, always hand-made. Proofed 2 different kinds of yeast today; both rose beautifully, so bread-making was very rewarding. Baked 5 large loaves of whole-wheat bread; turned out perfect. Cooled it; used 5 plastic cereal bags to package the bread; froze 4 loaves, have one on the counter for "FEAST OF THE LOAF DAY".

Made 2 homemade pizzas: pizza dough recipe, topping made of 2 cans tomato soup, chopped deli-corned-beef, lots of herbs, Old El Paso seasoning, some frozen hand-shredded Mozzarella cheese. Froze 1 pizza, the other's in the fridge and will bake it tomorrow.

Have been using up the freezer stockpile this summer, and not buying much to replenish it, so the freezer looked a bit low until I put the bread and pizza into it. That's better now! Also thawed some frozen milk and poured off the cream yesterday and today, have 4 Creama containers full of frozen cream.

Made applesauce from some thawed apple slices (from bargain bin apples). Turned out delicious!

Soaking a pail of laundry in the tub: pillowcases, etc. Should be able to finish washing it all tomorrow.

Did a few minor sewing jobs; hafta clean the mess up tomorrow.

Got the mail: coupons, flyers with Adult Multivitamins B1G1F deal (just what I need!!!).

Nice meals today of macaroni and homemade pasta sauce, with applesauce for dessert, plus a few slices of fresh bread.

Organized coupon binder; checked out coupon trade forums, emails, etc. Working on 3 coupon trade deals at present--1 completed. Must go and wash the Pyrex bread pans soon. Washed all the rest this afternoon, plus the plastic pieces which I use to cover my dough when it rises (made by cutting several large plastic food-storage bags open). Also cleaned out and reorganized the fridge door shelves today. Got all the condiments sorted through, didn't have to throw anything out, but should use up some of the emptier jars.

Finally cashed in 1 Term Deposit yesterday. Did not lose any principal because the Interest Earned and the Penalty for early redemption cancelled each other out. Whew! Coulda been worse...

Yesterday, stopped in at the Library and took out "The King and I" video; enjoyed watching the movie and listening to the score.

Internet service provider has advertised a cheaper plan on tv for the past 2 weeks, so will need to check this out ASAP. If I can save a few more bucks per month, maybe I will be able to keep the internet...hafta see. Otherwise, by the end of September, might be cancelling the internet. At this point, the money would be better saved for future rent. Right now, I'm weighing the pros and cons of the decision. I've saved over $1,000.00 with coupons, etc. in just one year, have a good stockpile, lots of freebies, etc. plus all of the internet information and interaction which is a tremendous benefit to my well-being and life. Well, anyway...it sure was a good thing while it lasted.
