Frugal Friday - Jan 1/10
Good Morning Villagers!
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and to see what everyone is up to today? I hope today will be a very quiet road travel day as I am about to leave to go see bf for the weekend (out of town). I don't plan on spending much $ today except for gas - I packed my own drink and snacks! Plus I don't think anything will be open.
What are y'all planning on doing?
Have a great day!2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Happy 2010 - It was a late night last night and I just crawled out of bed about 20 minutes ago.
I popped the steak in the crock-pot, it should be ready in time for dinner.
Lazy day today, nothing is open so I don't have any reason to leave the house... no spending
I'm thinking about searching out new recipes.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I do want to get the refrigerator cleaned out today, and I soaked beans all night for 15 bean soup.
The rest of the day will be spent knitting for the troops in Afghanistan, and probably flinging a few things here and there. My son will be going to his fathers to watch a football game, so it will be nice to have the house to myself and the dogs who aren't too demanding.

Good morning ladies. I got up about 8:45 and I'm on my second cup of go juice. My DH is still sleeping, He had to work last night and I'm not sure what time he got home. It's snowing here.YUCK! When hubby gets up I want to get in the shower. Then we will be watching

. Congrats to our military academies on a great show yesterday.
I plan on doing clothes while we watch the games. It'll be easy to sit on the couch and fold clothes. I have some ham thawing for a ham/broccoli casserole. I need to run the rent check up to our landlords, and we have a bottle of Asti to drink later tonight. Happy New Year!!! ETA- I'm looking forward to watching the Rose parade in HiDef. I love our new tv.

Not much planned for today, cleaning the house, organizing, maybe some knitting or crocheting. If I feel real ambitious, maybe take down all the Christmas decorations. Cooking some Blackeyed peas for dinner tonight, and maybe making some corn bread to go along with. A real nice relaxing day to start the new year!

Good morning! I'm at work for a few hours today, then stopping at the grocery for my first shop of the decade! Will be going home to do some cleaning and I'll probably make some soup and I might even make some shortbread cookies today if I'm feeling ambitious!

Got the fire going and got it warm in here. It is 5 degrees.
Going to finish laundering the bedding.
Sweep and dust throughout. Clean the shower.
Put some chili in the Crockpot.
Finish knitting the sweater I'm making for Dgrand-nephew, and assemble it.
Bring in some wood for the next couple of days.
Relax.______

Good morning, and Happy New Year! I'm a little hung over today, I had 2 dacquiris last night at a party, and I'm not a good drinker. So moving a little slower today!
Nothing coffee can't cure, though!
Today will be hopefully mellow. I need to help dh unload our pickup full of wood in preparation for the installation of our woodburning stove next weekend. YAY! Here's to hoping our heat bill stays low this year! I've also got the never-ending laundry to conquer, take the Christmas decorations downstairs, and possibly clean ds's room. We'll see how I feel!
Then I'm carving out a couple of hours to work on my budget. I'm excited to knock these huge bills OUT! Whew, I'm gonna need more coffee...

Happy New Year!
I don't plan on doing much today. Cooked pancakes for breakfast, doubled the batch so I have some to put in the freezer. Black eye peas are in the crock pot. We will be having some corn bread, mashed potatoes, cabbage, and pork chops with that for supper.
Other than cooking, going to hang around the house today.DJ
