    Default Frugal Friday 1/8

    Good morning all!

I am up and getting DS to preschool about an hour earlier than I usually do. Planning to hit up the good deals at a grocery store I don't usually shop, I discovered they double coupons up to 99 cents. Back home to work on laundry and then later I must stop procrastinating on returning some things to the library, photocopying and mailing 2 rebate forms and registering our truck!

What are you all up to today?

Typing up 10 tried & true recipes to put onto recipe cards. My recipe box is a MESS! Finishing up my pyramid challenge and probably making a snowman with my kids. Snow days are really catch-up days in my world.

    Happy Friday Everyone

So far I've done the normal morning routine, but need to hit the shower as soon as Diva is out of it.

We're meeting MY mother for lunch today at Applebee's. Should be interesting because the last time we got together for lunch I walked out. That was 4 years ago.

After lunch I am going to go to AC Moore and the grocery store and bring Diva to her Big Dad's for the weekend and borrow his printer to print out Old Man's resume.

What order it gets done depends on when we finish lunch. The stores are in the plaza with Applebee's and Big Dad lives 2 minutes away from there.

After I am done with the outside things (and I hope it won't last long because we're getting snow today) cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen up, looking for the 3-in-1 hat Old Man KNOWS he put in his cabinet (but disappeared) and starting the dough for the boule.

If after all THAT I still have energy to spare... I will work more on the hat I am knitting.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I am staying home as it is VERY COLD out there. I am going to do some cleaning and I might tackle the paperwork on the desk and file it. Other then that I am relaxing today

This morning, I had a CT scan for my sinuses. Now, I'm home sick. I think the good news is that I was able to get the CT scan on a day when my sinuses are completely full. I hate when you can't get a doctor appointment and by the time you are there, you aren't really sick anymore. I was concerned this might be the same thing, but should have known better. Not with this sinuses.

I'm working via e-mail, while home, but also have a load of sheets in the washer. I've listed some things on freecycle and will be making some cookies later, as we are out of fun snacks for the kids. I have the stuff to make them, so rather than buy some at the store tomorrow, I'll make them today.

I do have 3 piano lessons to teach this afternoon, (I really need that money, so I have to go) and dd has a Girl Scouts pizza party that I need to go to with her. She is so excited, as it's the first Girl Scout event at her new school.

*Went to work after a two-hour delay (YAY!!)
*Went to Kroger to pick up a few things and got some good rebate forms and some free mac and cheese.
*Going to a friends house to drink wine instead of going to Happy Hour.
*Planning to have a no-spend weekend. It is too cold to go anywhere!

DD and DH have gone to a town about an hour away for DD's basketball game. DS has a game early in the morning, so he and I are staying home tonight so he can get to bed early.

    Today I:
~Taught school, and got the 6th grade newspaper out.
~Ate breakfast at a fastfood restaurant (too much $$ and too many calories!!!!!!!!)
~Ate lunch at local diner (grrrrr...I'm so weak)
    ~Did a BUNCH of laundry.
~Went through DS's t-shirt drawers and tossed (will donate) about 10 of them! I swear, they multiply in there!
    Tonight:
~I have some gorgeous, handwoven wool yarn that I bought on Etsy-pretty reasonable-so I may knit while I watch tv...provided there's something worth watching!

Hope everyone had a good day!

Hey everyone. I did my 8 hours at work. I had to stop at the bank again because I forgot to take the change jar with me yestereday, so I deposited that into our checking. I haven't done a single thing since I got home and I have several things I SHOULD be doing. Like putting dishes away, getting grocery list and coupons ready for tomorrow, putting a load of clothes in the washer. I have to start dinner in about 40 minutes, do dishes(maybe), and get some reading in. Hope everyone is staying warm.

I worked, picked up some Freecycle stuff, participated in a pot luck type of dinner with family and friends, husband went to be early, and now I'm just taking some time to do nothing.
