    Talking Frugal TGIFriday 9/3/10 :)

Ok, it's only about midnight, but it's *technically* Friday, so !!!!!

My plans are to go to work in the morning, come home for the "hurricane" (<~ we'll see) to be with my furbabies so they're not freaking out alone, put away the rest of the laundry (finally finished it all!), try to make applesauce for the first time ever with apples that don't have much time left and I can't see wasting, vacuum... I don't see me spending any money on pay day!

What about you, my fellow frugies? How do you plan to spend your Frugal Friday?

    Plans for frugal Friday include:

    Bringing lunch to school.
    Physical Therapy
    Pool exercises
    Laundry
Print letters to my soccer parents
    Call DD
    Pay bills
    Clean out car
    Load car for soccer Saturday

Sounds like a good day to me - and a no spend day too!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I earned €4 by selling a colleague cashewnut paste (like peanutbutter) I bring with me from my hometown. You can't buy it in this country and she loves it. So, she has a problem I'm quite happy to help out with ;-)

Took leftover dinner to work for lunch today.

My boss gave me a waffle someone had given her as a joke bribe. She doesn't care for waffles, though.

Toasted 2 bread ends as an afternoon snack, covered with butter and chocolate sprinkles, yummie.

Dd has made a 'drawing' (she's only 2) for one of the kindergarten teachers who is retiring today. I made a Thankyou card to go with the drawing. No costs.

As you can see from my siggy, we are negotiating a house and need all the money we can get our hands on. My parents will chip in with an interest-free loan, but still.... I prefer to do it on our own.

Have to hit Walmart and pick up some Medic Alerts, then head over to the grocery store and pick up a few things.
Head home, and process some wheat into mylar bags and buckets for LTS. Hopefully get some blueberry muffins made for the hubby. Have to thaw supper. Think I might throw in a load of laundry sometime.
Pretty basic sort of day LOL

    Hooray for Fridays!

After work and school today will begin the 3 day weekend! A much needed break after a very long first week of school. So other than the work, I am not planning on doing much! lol

I will do my daily load of laundry, and possibly start working on my upcoming budget for the school year. We'll see how ambitious I am!

    Have a great day!

I had breakfast with a gf, we hadn't been alone out in ages, so it was needed. Had to go by the dr's office and have some paperwork filled out. Then I hit up Goodwill, because they were having a sale for all bottoms $1, all denim $2. I bought quite a bit for the kids and am currently washing all those items.

Had a little date with my son at the mall, spent about $30 total on him. It was fun and needed. Picked up the big kids from school and stopped to get gas and hit Dollar Tree for my son's gatorades. Home for the evening now.

We headed out to Rona this morning and picked up the interior paint we need to finish the house. We managed to snag 5 free cans (buy one, get one free), which was a BIG help. We saved $150+ by doing that.

After Rona, we came back and did some stuff to the outside of the house. The following is what we got done:

    1) Replaced both outdoor lights with lights I got on sale a couple of weeks ago.
    2) Finished painting the house trim with leftover wood stain and gave the front fence a second coat of wood stain.
    3) Made lunch (hot dogs and tomato soup - used bread instead of buns for the hot dogs).
    4) Spread some red rocks along the back of the fence that faces the alley (they were sitting in my wheelbarrow for a few weeks).
    5) Fixed the door on the shed and installed a new bolt latch.
    6) Painted ten 14-foot long sections of baseboards (which will go in next week after we paint the interior of the house).

I ended up with a large migrane, so I took Tylenol and then some Excedrin to get rid of it. Laundry's going on right now and I'm starting dinner soon. We're having cheeseburgers, fries, deviled eggs and garden carrots. Once that's done, I'm making my grocery list for tomorrow and then going to bed. I'm so beat!

Friday wasn't the most frugal. Spent $200 at sams and another 40 at the grocery store. But I did get $20 off from my reward card.

I have enough meat for at least 20 meals plus leftovers.
