Frugal Friday October 15

Tonight is the start of our soccer tournament weekend. Have lots to do to be ready to go tonight!!

Strip guest bed
Wash bedding and towels
Make bed
Create menu for weekend
Grocery shop
Exercise at pool
Clean LR
Pack soccer uniforms and paperwork
Pack computer
7:00 PM meeting
Laundry 1

That should keep me busy!!

Take son to Halloween store after school.
Strip kids beds. Put on flannel sheets for cooler weather.
Make homemade bread and spaghetti/meatballs.
Go to work for 3rd shift.

Work from 7 to 4.
Go pick up a few groceries.
Paint the last coat in our basement (maybe a 4 hour painting session)
Get started on laundry which I've ignored all week.
Crash into bed

Rain... rain... rain...

It's going to be a VERY wet and stormy day today. I looked on my patio and my welcome mat is FLOATING!!!

I had a cup of rocket fuel and flipped through some patterns. Decided what I will make next.

Old Man will drive Diva to school today since he has to go to NH this morning and will be out anyways (I get to take a quiet shower, no one banging on the door).

Diva gets her cast off today

The ex has her this weekend so he would have picked her up from school, but I don't trust him to get the doctors directions right, or to ask the right questions so I will have to drive to his house and we will pick Diva up from school and go to the doctors together. It's just easier for me to be there.

Dinner is already made - leftover chili from last night.

At some point, I will blow up my rubber raft and head over to Jo~Ann for the yarn I need for a shawl I want to make. They don't have much in sock weight in my store, but it's worth a peek before having to buy it online.

~Kids are home on 'Fall' break so will take them to the park for free entertainment.
~would like to batch cook a bunch of ground meat that's in my freezer
~I need to sort through all the bags in my closet from garage sales and see what's there for Christmas
~while I do that I'll have the boys drag the Halloween decorations and outfits upstairs to keep the kids busy

It looks like another pretty fall day here! I have already biked, did the pet chores and changed out the linens.I am going to wash windows on the lower level and clean out flower beds this morning, then this afternoon I am meeting DH and another couple to golf. Have a great day everyone!

Hooray for Fridays! And hooray for husbands taking the day off to tend to sick kids! lol My son has what I'm sure is strep throat, so I'm waiting to call in to the clinic this morning. Also my daughter woke up with pink eye, so I told her to stay home and we will try to get her in today, too. Never a dull moment!

So...

Today is work for me. I need bread and more groceries, but not sure if I will get it done today. There is a huge discount brand name sale going on at the fairgrounds today, and they mentioned cheap ipods and laptops and video games. May check it out on my lunchbreak, not sure yet.

I was supposed to go to a candle party tonight, but I think 2 sick kids trumps a party. Yay for not feeling obligated to spend money! lol

I get to work from home today and don't have a lot to do (maybe 2-3 hours)

So, in addition to work I need to:
Wash the bed sheets
Try to get 30-60 minutes of working out in
Put some laundry away
Put a medical bill in the mail
Write a birthday thank-you and put that in the mail
Eat all meals at home
Would really like to go take my drivers exam so I can get an Illinois ID
Meeting some friends for a drink later tonight

If I have time, I need to find my nephew a birthday present

I really have no idea whats going on today - my dad will trump all the plans even if he was the one to make them.

I hope to:
- call all the dr's I need to for dad's follow ups from hospital stay

- change my bedsheets
- waddle my dad (and its pretty cool outside too!)
- pay bills
- surf for hotel deals and air fare prices for our trip in Nov
- possibly laundry tonight
- spend 1 hour cleaning sorting/purging clutter (my nemesis)
- nap or wii fit depending on how I'm feeling..right now I'm running on empty with this flu

Done so far:
-ate breakfast
-swapped out laundry
-folded and put towels away
-set out meat to thaw for dinner
-got in a short bit of wii fit (lost 1.3 lbs!)

Day Stuff
-work
-leftovers for lunch
-possible Target run for contact solution

Evening Stuff
-make dinner (cheesy chili tator tots, second batch in the freezer)
-do more laundry
-do dishes
-wii fit
-take kids on walk if weather holds out

Hopeful Stuff
-knit!

Morning all!

My day today looks kind of like...
~Work today 7-6
~Pick up the yard after the dogs
~Laundry, at least 1 load tonight,
~Put away all clothes that are folded on top of the dryer
~Check budget for the next week
~Go through fridge, purge and clean it since it is so empty!
~Relax some...

Just got home from work so will have soup and sandwich for dinner.

It's Friday! It's Friday! It's Friday! Do ya know what that means? Huh? Huh? Do ya?
FRIDAY NIGHT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!!!

Not only is it football Friday, but it is Homecoming! Unfortunately, DS's team will probably not be bringing home the big W tonight. They are playing a tough, tough team. But hey, I love a good football game. Especially when my boy is out there doing his job centering the ball, cracking skulls and takin' names!

Cleaned up a little today.
Stopped by the bank to put some moolah in there.
DD and the BFF are spending the weekend at our house. Leaving them home while DH and I head to DS's football game.

Well, I am off to get a shower then out the door to see my Biggie crack some skulls on the football field tonight!!!

Finished bleaching and scrubbing out the downstairs upright freezer. Finally.
Went out to lunch w/ DD as the guys will be home in an hour.
I hope to start slicing the pepper for the freezer soon.
