Default Frugal Friday - Nov 26/10

How is everyone dealing with their poultry buffet hangovers?

Today the weather is crap....need to bolt out to the grocery store to pick up a few things, make a pot of soup this am before I take dad to a follow up appt from his 2 wk hospital stay and then return home to pack up myself and DF for a 2 day trip back to his place to pick up a few more things to make him comfortable for his over extended stay here

    Whatch'all got planned for today?

I always put my tree up on the Friday after Thanksgiving. So that's my day. We may get out of the house late this afternoon to grab a Starbuck's coffee.

Libby, hope your df is feeling more comfortable. Guys aren't always at their best when they are laid up.

Cloudy overcast chilly day here. Only thing I have planned besides relaxing with a good book is giving th kitchen a good heavy duty cleaning. Dh spilled a little turkey juice yesterday accidentaly when our old carving board developed a crack we didn't notice and as the bird sat waiting to be carved it oops-ed all over the counter. I cleaned it up but want to do a better job during the daylight hours.
Also want to do a load of laundry. Big going's on here.
Using sauce from the freezer for Spaghetti and meatballs tonight, easy peasy.
Glad I'm not out driving and fighting the crowds, the sales aren't worth dinging up my happiness quotient.

Here's hoping your happiness quotient is off the charts good today.

Well, FRUGAL it is not today! lol And Darlene, I love your comment on using up your happiness quotient. That is so true!

I am still at fil's ranch this morning. It has been blowing and drifting snow, so I hope to get out of here today! lol Which was okay since I couldn't go black Friday shopping, and I'm always tempted and then annoyed at how rude people truly are.

So I bought some items off Walmart's website this morning, and I'm truly happy about the prices, so that's fun! I hate it when I have 20 ideas for one child and only 2 for another. I guess I'll have to buckle down and get more creative!

Today we will be driving the 3 hour drive back home. Who knows how many stops we'll take! I'm just praying the roads cleared out some!

    Have an awesome day, everyone!

I'm having a pretty frugal Friday....only spent $1.79 on a coffee at Panera so I could use their WIFI to do homework. It's so much easier to get it done when I'm not at home....less interruptions that way. I usually go to the college library, but school is closed this week/weekend.

DH gave me some $ to buy some gloves with, but when I went by the mall, it was so crowded that there was no where to even PARK. So, I'll defer getting gloves for another day.

Other than that, I have a bit more homework to finish up today, and then it's time to relax....

Made eggs and leftover ham for breakfast. Took a walk and now waiting to go and see some friends for a while.

Will hem pants that I have had for about 7 months. Then dust and vacuum.

DH is working tonight so he was asleep until about 12:30 after getting 12 hours of sleep, he didn't go to bed when he got home yesterday. For the most part we watched football, ate leftovers, took a shower, washed a load of clothes and ate more leftovers.
