Frugal Friday June 24th
Good Morning - well it still is here and I did oversleep!!
The last furlough Friday of the summer - love these four day weeks!!
As soon as I finish posting here, I am heading downstairs and outback to our newly created back lanai with freshly made coffee and morning newspaper. On the way I am throwing in a load of laundry to work while I relax!!
I need to register our cars with the front desk, so that's next on my list - perhaps I'll stop by the pool for a little exercising before the morning turns to afternoon!!
I'm still working on the LR, so today I'm going to find and sew backing material on the charity quilt (from May!!) and then that will be done!!
This afternoon I'm picking up fabric to make bags for brids for the bird sanctuary upcountry - cannot wait to find out why they need several hundred, but it's something I can do for them.
Better get started on my day - hope yours is great too!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Mmm...reading on the lanai with fresh coffee...I'm jealous!!

Today, I slept in big time for me - til 9.30am. Lounged in my jammies til noon, snacking at will and sipping soy juice boxes and water
Finally got dressed at 12 noon, did the lunch thing, tidied up a bit and made the bed and called to check on DF who's been working non stop. At that point in time he'd been working a solid 33'ish hours straight?
Spent the afternoon running errands with dad and just got back in not too long ago. Waiting for dinner and then for the hour where hydro rates drop so I can do laundry.
I think its ok if I take one day for myself from cleaning the house in prep for house guests that are coming in a month right?
BTW DF is still at work :'(2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Today was not busy washed 3 loads of clothes and hung on drying racks. Worked in veggie bed, organized coupons for weekly shopping. Lied about supper Grandma changed my mind smother pork chops with gravy, fried potato's and steamed veggies. Paid the car insurnce and that was pretty much it

I returned my cable boxes yesterday...went to basic cable...brought my bill down to $64 for in internet and tv. Saves $90 a month...did the same at my mountain house...saved about $55 there....we are headed to Maui next year for our 35 wedding anniversary...the savings from just these two bills pays our condo bill.... airfare is free... I think it's worth the tradeoff.... Tonight I made sandwiches to eat in the car while we drive to the mountain house...so no money spent on eating out!!!
