Frugal Friday, July 22

Got up and sorted laundry. Have three loads in. Was exhausted by the time I got back to my place. The laundry room is a short distance but it is so hot and the room is not air conditioned. Figured I should do it now while it is cooler?.

Having some people over for ice cream and berries later today. Still have all the blinds closed. Supposed to get up to 100 degrees today. Yuck.

~ Taking school supplies to my classroom
~ Hanging laundry
~ Using homemade detergent for the first time today

~ Eating from home for breakfast & dinner

Feeling very blessed today. My parents are visiting and will be painting the baby's room while I take my other kids to a free splash park to cool off. I am so grateful that they offered to paint the room and told me to go have some fun while they do it. Will have to come up with something special as a thank you!

Tried to get an early start today to beat the heat.
Ran dishwasher
Washed and hung out load of laundry
Sorted coupons, went to two stores to restock freezer.
Got boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.67lb; 4 boxes of cereal for $5; and 2lb marinated pork loins for $4 ea. Yay!
Prepped green beans and put them in crock pot with frozen ham bone with lots of ham left on
Took down and folded laundry - I could also hear my skin sizzle!
Swept downstairs

Chicken nachos for dinner and the rest of the weekend will be spent cleaning apartment and prepping in for son and daughter in law to move in. (Yay!)

Got up and rode my bike, went to a few estate sales, went to health food store for a smoothie, went to grocery store to stock on fresh fruit and veggies, then went to get my hair cut. Out to lunch with my DH and then came home and did laundry. Was suppose to clean my cabinets in the laundry room, but moved that chore for tomorrow since DH will be gone most of the day.
